Re-strategising

DELILAH'S POV

We were able to shake off the trail of the sapphire ring warriors who were chasing us, and away from their watchful eye, we were finally free to retreat to the sanctuary of our pack. Yanking myself out of the jaws of the wolves who were 'kidnapping me' I snapped.

"Let go of me."

They opened their jaws, releasing me from their grip. Away from the watchful eyes of the enemy, there was no need to keep up with the act that I had been kidnapped. Marching towards Maxim, I yelled.

"What were you thinking? I told you to hold on with the attack; if I hadn't interfered, Devon would have killed you." 

I warned him about this, yet he refused to listen. It was too soon to attack Devon, and he was still too strong to be taken down, but Maxim had refused to listen to reason. His impatience was going to cost us everything we've worked for and everything we've built together.
