Chapter 6: Cold Coffee

" I apologized , but you can't really blame me. You just entered and walk inside like a suspicious person , I thought your a burglar."

said the doctor after seeing the expression of the Marissa.

"Come, my office is this way" Gesturing at tye girl she lead her in the opposite direction.

Naturally , he will not make her enter the office inside the lab, that may scare away his potential student.

In his room there is a table that he used as a reading table. He lead the girl there while dragging a chair and putting on the other side of the table.

" Have a seat " He gestured " What do you want ,coffee,tea or juice. Never mind I will just make you coffee." He then walk out of the room while the girl still in daze. Her eyes just followed the doctor as he left the room.

" What just happened?" said her with a confuse tone.

After a few minutes the doctor came back ,holding a tray with two coffee on cups and a paper document that is a quarter inch thick.

"Sorry for the wait , heres your coffee" he stated as he out the tray on the table.

" The registration process is quite simple ,you just fill out the form, and then sign at the end after you read the terms and conditions and then you just have to put your thumb print at the end and it's done." he said with a smile as point places on the documents he brought, he then gave a pen to the girl to use.

Marissa took the pen while holding the document for the registration, but after a few second she put it down.

" I'm sorry sir -"

"Professor~ "

"P-professor,but I did not came here to register. I'm already enrolled to the college of biology and my subject schedule were already full , I don't think I can manage an additional classes ."

"What.?" The doctor ask in confusion.

" Then why the hell are you here ? " the smiles are gone and now it's replace with disappoinment.

He cross his arms and lean on the chair.

" I-I Apologized for barging inside uninvited, I'm just lost. I was looking for the infirmary but I found myself inside a forest, a tried to walk the path way and lead me here."

" Tsk" the doctor could only click his tongue

" Then you can leave now , the exit is from where you enter I will not see you off" with that said Marissa stand up and apologize to the doctor one last time and then walk herself out.

The doctor followed her with his sight until she's out. After she closed the door,

he standup and reach at the cup of coffee that have not been drunk with an intention to clean up. He was shock.

The coffee is cold, really cold.

He check the other cup of coffee , he found out that it's still hot , it as expected as it's only been a couple of minutes since he made this joe. With a paused he tried to remember the appearance of the girl , he did not look at her for long but he was sure that she look sick.He knows that she is paler than usual. He then smiled but he suppress it immediately.

He quickly came out out of the room and into the exit door to try to run after the girl.

He found her already outside the building and halfway the path.

" Hey !"

He called out making her look back .

" You look extremely anemic and sleep deprived , I can't just send you out in that condition.There are beds in the lab, I can allow you to sleep on one of them"

Marissa was about to refute but the weakness afflict her body ones more , and she could only comply she followed the doctor inside again and he lead her on right door .

Inside was a lab full of different equipment.

"This way" gestured the doctor as they walk toward an examining room.

Marissa's eyes wander around and she saw some strange specimen on the shelves , but her body is in no shape for investigation so when the doctor gestured her on a reclining bed she comply.

And in a few minutes she was off the dream land.
