The two then drove off to the police station. that was handling the case.Tue professor aim to see the corpse in the autopsy room to check for clues of strangeness.

They were able to see the corpses but the professor have found no abnormalities in the bodies except that the wound were blackening,which can seen as normal in animals attack. There are some places in which the wound was seem to infected and which can say to strange but not so much to assume a supernatural causes. The professor then just made his student take some sample from the remains to test back in the lab ,he then leave with his student with an annoyed face.

He expected to see some clues on the victims body that he think will help in knowing what kind of being they are tracking but he was dissatisfied that there is none.

The professor test and check the samples using his equipment in the lab. Using the specialized equipment such as PCR DNA test. His aim is to find a trace of DNA left by the assailant. This test followed his assumption that the attacker was not a wild animal ,which will lead to the next logical assumption, a human.

He check for a almost an hour and the test was done he then flash a smirk.

It was already the afternoon and Marissa was. already preparing to go home ,but she stop as she saw the professor's smile after looking at the result.

" Have you found something professor?"

" Ha! I was right , there are two set of DNA on the samples ,both from human. "

" Ho!? Then does that means it was really a serial murder !?"

" Not sure yet , there not enough data yet "

The professor then pick up his phone a dialed a number ,after ringing for a while it was pick up

" Hey it me, I have found something . I need you run it in your database"

" Hello to you too Dr. Rubio"

Replied a woman's voice on the other side

" No time for that I will send you the file cross check it with your DNA data base , there are two set ,one should be from one of the victim labeled.... While the other I what I assume was from the assailant "

" *Sigh* Ok ,just send it to me- wait you said assailant, was this a murder "

" It appears so"

" Ohhh, interesting! Ok I will get back to you in 12Hrs "

" 12Hrs ? You people are really inefficient"

" it's not inefficient,it's just due process"

The professor then drop the call.

"Who's that professor"

asked Marissa curiously

" It the forensic center for the police, they have a data base of all the citizen in the city including DNA database , it make investigation pretty quick and efficient"

" Oh! that sound creepy for some reason.. so whats we going to do next ?"

"Nothing until the result come back ,you should go home and sleep "

" Ok , see you tomorrow Professor!"

The girl then pick up her handheld bag that contain her personal items and walk out the building the professor then tidy up the lab and put away the samples on a container shelf.

" So what do find?"

It was morning and the professor was drinking his coffee when the forensic lab called him.

" We check and the file you send and we found the assailant your looking for but .."

The "but" made the professor paused

" Robert Lard , 30 years old male , and previously lived in 139 sunset street , was missing for a month in on July until.."

" Until?"

" He was found dead in the forest on the side of Black Pine road , it was then concluded that he was abandoned on the forest after he was beat up and loss consciousness, he then died of hypothermia. "

" Hm? Dead ? Haha, interesting!"

He laugh a little after hearing the information about the assailant that he was looking for.

" And the killer was they caught "

The woman on the other side was startled by the sudden laughing of the professor

" Oh? ah yes ,the Assailant was captured , which is the co- worker of the victim and was found guilty of homicide ,he was now in jail... Doctor are you sure about this file you sent"

" Of course ! who do you think I am"

" But that will means that those three people was killed by a dead man , and a deadman for a few months at that, that seem like a story out of a movie if you asked me"

" Don't mind it , thank you for your help"

He then finish the call and left his office.
