Reborn Modern Warrior

Talia Sheppard lived a pathetic life. She was obsessed with her not so friendly neighbor Josiah Hansen. They grew up in the same social circles since both their families were in high standing and wealth. Josiah was the captain of the fencing team, always got great grades, won several musical competitions and his blonde hair definitely made him stand out. I guess I can see why she idiotically fell for him. He was kind to her once when she fell out of a tree… after he dared her to climb it. And since that moment she was blinded by unconditional (insane) love. At least that’s what I’ve gathered from the remnants of the memories she’s left for me.

Prologue

Talia Sheppard lived a pathetic life.

She was obsessed with her not so friendly neighbor Josiah Hansen.

They grew up in the same social circles since both were from high standing and wealthy families.

He was kind to her once when she fell out of a tree… after he dared her to climb it. And since that moment she was blinded by unconditional (insane) love.

Josiah was the captain of the fencing team, always got great grades, won several musical competitions and his blonde hair definitely made him stand out.

As far as I can see, he was the A-typical jock-snob that always got what he wanted.

She was completely blinded by the image she created for him in her head, no matter how many times he rejected her or tormented her.

At least that's what I've gathered from the remnants of the memories she's left for me.

I've been in this hospital for weeks now, and I've slowly been learning about this weird new world. They seem to rely more on technology than they do magic.

Magic is basically nonexistent here and they think it's fantasy.

Taking a deep sigh, I can't do anything but continue to stare at my faint reflection in the window besides this hospital bed while Talia's sister takes a nap in the arm chair across the room.

'I guess I should start referring to her as my sister now that I've been given a second chance at life.'
