Chapter Six

"She'd be joining us later, so we'd be having a spar till then," Indra told Sakumo with a menacing smile. "As usual, you're free to go all out," he added.

"I wasn't planning on holding back," Sakumo stated.

*******************

Sakumo unsheathed tanto, attacking Indra without hesitation. Upon getting close enough, he brought his tanto down on the neck of Indra. But right as the tanto was about to strike Indra, he leaned back, dodging the strike. Sakumo quickly jumped back, not giving Indra any chance to counterattack.

Indra raised his hand in a swinging motion, a red and black gunbai appeared in his outstretched hand. Reinforcing his hand with chakra, he swung the gunbai, creating a massive and powerful gust of wind that sent Sakumo flying. But right as he was about to slam into the trees far off into the distance, he disappeared with a wooden log replacing him.

Indra quickly moved the gunbai to his back, blocking the tanto heading at his spine. "Nice one, but you aren't fast enough," he said with a smirk, as he made a single hand-sign.

Sakumo was forced to jump back as earth spikes jut out of the ground around him, while they all completely missed touching his body. "If this was a battle with an enemy shinobi, you'd be dead by now," Indra said behind him as he kicked the back of Sakumo, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Not attacking immediately, Indra watched Sakumo as he got back to his feet. The kick wasn't that powerful so it was quite easy for him so he didn't sustain any significant damage.

Sakumo immediately got to weaving hand signs, completing the seal for 'Water release: Gunshot', he shot five condensed blasts of water at Indra. He then brought out shurikens from his pouch before electrifying them. He threw the electrified shurikens at the water gunshot jutsu, increasing the power from a C-rank to a B-rank jutsu in an instant.

Sakumo analysed what Indra would do next, and he came to the conclusion that the most likely scenario was Indra using an 'Earth wall' to block the 'Water Gunshot' based on the wider angle of the jutsu, or using his gunbai to protect just his body. So he planned to attack just after Indra defends against the incoming jutsu. Taking a deep breath, Sakumo readied himself and then he sprung at Indra with his tanto poised to strike.

But what happened next shocked him, Indra disappeared alongside the jutsu he had just released. "Impressive, but you've lost," what he heard next was the voice of Indra coming from behind him as he felt the force of the 'water gunshot' slam into his back, followed by the searing pain from being electrocuted.

"Ahhhh!!!" Sakumo screamed as he was being electrocuted by his own jutsu.

"Impressive, you're still standing. You've gotten stronger Sakumo," Indra said as he appeared in front of him. "I'm sure you'd have lasted longer if I'd given you the chance to fully utilise your tanto. Kenjutsu is your strong suit after all," Indra added as he walked closer to him.

"What...what was that?" Sakumo asked, breathing heavily.

"Genjutsu," Indra replied nonchalantly.

"What?! how could I be in a genjutsu for that long?!" Sakumo replied, questioning what Indra had said because of how unlikely it sounded.

Standing next to him, Indra said. "Don't worry, I'd teach you how to resist higher rank genjutsu when you wake up."

"Wha....." Sakumo tried to say but Indra hit him at the base of his neck, knocking him out.

Indra had used two techniques of his right dojutsu that he had discovered a year prior. 'SukunaHikona' a jutsu that allowed him to instantaneously shrink himself and non-living matter within his gaze, and return it to its original size at will. While 'Daikokuten' allowed him to store whatever he shrinks with 'SukunaHikona' in a dimension that time does not flow, allowing it to remain in pristine condition. He had never told anyone about the techniques even when he was asked about how he was able to make those black rods appear out of thing air when he first came to konoha.

Indra spent the next thirty minutes training himself, waiting for Sakumo to wake up. While he was disgruntled Indra had unnecessarily knocked him out, he was still excited since he would be learning from the First Hokage's student.

Indra chuckled looking at the excited Sakumo, "I'm obviously not skilled enough to teach you kenjutsu, so I'd teach you how to resist or break out of a higher rank genjutsu. And if time permits me, I'd also teach you an A-rank lightning release jutsu."

.......

[One Hour Thirty Minutes Later]

"Ok, that's enough now," Indra said, releasing the A-rank 'Genjutsu: Binding' he had placed on Sakumo. "I can sense Tsunade coming, so I'd show you the lightning release jutsu now. Watch closely because I won't repeat myself."

Making hand signs, a shadow clone appeared at Indra's side, before turning into lightning and then dissipating.

"The jutsu is called 'Lightning shadow clone'. It is basically a lightning-infused shadow clone because it would revert to its lightning state when it receives damages or if you want it to. You're smart so I won't tell you how best to utilise it.

The jutsu consumes a lot of chakra so you should be smart on how you utilise it. Looking at your chakra reserves, I reckon you'd be able to use it once, at most two times but you'd be drained of almost your entire chakra afterward, so be careful. Just so you know, if you overuse it and die, that's not on me," Indra warned, also adding a disclaimer at the end.

"Thank you," Sakumo said with a wide smile.

"You can leave now," Indra nonchalantly replied, waving him off.

After Sakumo left, a small wind blew at his side before a masked man appeared at his side using the 'Body Flicker Technique'.

Seeing the man's appearance, Indra hissed in annoyance, "You should know by now it's not wise to do that," He said without looking at the masked man, but clearly letting his irritation show on his voice.

The masked man did not bother replying, making it seem like it was a daily occurrence. "Do you think it was wise to teach him such a powerful technique?" the man finally asked.

"Why are you asking me?! Is he not your son, you should know if it's wise or not." Indra replied sarcastically. "What are you doing here anyway?" he added.

"I heard Sakumo was training with you, so I came to see for myself. Who would have thought you'd decide to teach him an A-rank jutsu," The man replied. "Didn't know you had gotten that nice," he added before bursting out in laughter.

Tch!!

"You're the Anbu commander, shouldn't you have better things to do with your time than watching two young boys train. That's just weird," Indra quipped with a shrug.

"Ok, time for you to leave, Tsunade is here already," Indra said as the masked man disappeared.

As Tsunade got to the training ground, she saw the standing form of Indra and began running towards him.

"Little girl, you sure had your beauty sleep today," Indra said as she drew to a halt right in front of him.

"Isn't that entirely your fault," She replied with a pout. "And you promised to stop calling me little girl," she added.

Chuckling, Indra ruffled her hair before speaking. "After I'm done training you, we'd spend the rest of the day together. Is that ok with you, little girl?" he asked her.

She nodded energetically, completely ignoring he'd just called her 'little girl' again.

Indra then sat on the floor and asked her to do the same. "So I'm going to be guiding you on advanced chakra control exercise. Mito-sama is going to be teaching you the Medical Ninjutsu and then the 'Strength of a Hundred seal', so this exercise would help you a lot," Indra said. "And if you're proficient enough, I'd teach you how to augment your strength with chakra, since you seem to like taijutsu a lot." he then added.

After Tsunade nodded in understanding, Indra placed his hand on the floor and a thirty metre wall rose up from the ground. "All you have to do is walk to the top of the wall, easy right?!" Indra said, waving her forward.

"But I can already do this, It is a basic chakra control exercise that every academy student knows. Can't you train me in something more advanced," Tsunade replied in protest.

"Shhh!! just do it," Indra replied, shushing her.

Tsunade grudgingly walked up to the wall and placed her foot on it. She was only able to walk up two steps before she fell back to the floor.

"I thought it's a basic exercise every academy student can perform, so why did you fall off?!" Indra said, mocking her.

"Shut it!!!!" Tsunade hissed back. Getting up from the floor, she tried to walk on the wall again but she fell right back down.

Indra stood impassively watching her fall over and over again until the sight of her falling began to become comical, "Did I forget to mention my chakra is wrapping around the entire wall, so you have to counteract my own chakra with yours before you can walk on it. Mind you, the intensity increases as you climb up the wall."

With her mouth shut, Tsunade climbed up the wall and she did a lot better this time. She was able to make it up 4 entire steps before falling back to the ground. She was determined to reach the top, even falling down from over 20 metres high did not deter her. It took 3 hours for her to be able to reach the top, and she was so exhausted that she only managed to send a smug smile at Indra before falling off unconscious.

Indra caught the body of Tsunade before she hit the ground, 'I didn't actually think you'd be able to do it,' he muttered with a smile. Placing her on his back, he started heading back to the Senju compound.

.........

[A/N:- I don't actually know if the chakra exercise is even possible but it kind of made sense to me.]
