Just as the teacher lunged toward Ella again, a commanding voice cut through the chaos, "Stop! Police!"

But the man was too far gone in his rage to care. As a police officer quickly pulled Ella aside, the teacher's knife slashed toward someone else who had stepped forward to intercept him.

"Back off!" the man snarled, wrestling with the teacher. He was fierce and relentless, clearly determined to protect Ella.

Ella's eyes widened in shock as she realized who it was—Henry. She had only notified Chief Taylor, expecting him to discreetly send backup. How did Henry end up here? Had he been following her?

The teacher's knife was knocked out of his grip as Henry and he locked together, struggling intensely. Just as two more officers rushed over, Henry and the teacher tumbled down the escalator in a violent roll.
