Chapter 8: Kingdom of Earlshide

The following day after the celebration of Rei's and shin's birthday the group set up on a journey to the kingdom of Earlshide.

The carriage that drove them was on the way for close to an hour now. The group were already bored and wanted to arrive at the kingdom as soon as possible. And when I say the group I mean Rei and Shin, not the grown-ups.

Merlin and Melinda were having a nice chit-chat with a cup of tea in their hands which Merlin stored in his storage dimension

"Are we there yet"

"No"

"Are we there yet"

"No"

"Are we there yet"

"No"

"Are we there yet"

"Will you shut up or do you want me to help you and make you mouth less for the rest of your life"

Melinda barks at Rei who didn't even realize that she was talking to him

"Are we there.... gramps I sense a beast"

Rei's demeanour changes in a split second

"There are still far, but if we continue at this pace we won't engage in a battle"

Rei reported preparing to drop down from the carriage

"Better, so we won't engage in any unnecessary fights"

"Gramps I want to take them on"

"Will that be necessary"

"Do you want me to die in this carriage"

"No that will be the last thing I will want right now"

"Then just continue full steam ahead I will be alright"

He then flickers away to where the beast was located

"I just hope he doesn't get hu..."

"I'm back!!"

Rei appears at the centre of the carriage and saw everyone surprised to the core

"Didn't you just leave now how did you come back, more importantly, what about the beast"

Merlin asks him in bewilderment

"Yeah, I beat the crap out of it, I also brought back some merchandise"

He opens the storage dimension to bring out a lump of fresh bloodied meat

"When we arrive at the kingdom let us celebrate using this"

"I guess there's nothing we can do about it "

Melinda sighs

"I just hope that nothing happens to our boys"

In the kingdom of Earlshide

The party which consists of Merlin, Melinda, Shin and Rei had arrived at the city after a long journey. The others that had left last night using Shin's gate were Diseum, Christina and Siefreid arrived at the city while Michel and Tom haag had wet back to their various residence

Diseum had arrived last night to make preparations for the place Merlin and the rest could stay. It is not more of preparation because that was originally Merlin's mansion where both Merlin and Melinda stayed when they were in the kingdom years ago.

Shin and Rei just stood in front of the ginormous building

"Wow, was this the place you guys lived"

"Are you guys from a royal family?"

Rei and Shin flooded them with questions expecting an immediate answer

"You guys get inside and get your things arranged"

"Ok grandma"

Both chorused in unison

Rei opened the huge door to be greeted by 5 butlers and 5 maidservants each arranging themself in an orderly manner, men butlers stood on the right-hand side will women maidservants on the left hand all bowed their heads as a sign of respect.

Looking at this admirable sight in front of him Rei was utterly speechless, his face immediately reddened. One of the butlers greeted and introduced themselves with respect.

"Welcome Merlin-sama, Melinda-sama, Rei-sama and Shin-sama, is an honour to have you here with us"

He then raised his head

"The king informed us of your arrival and told us to assist you in anything you need, so feel free to call us at any time you need our assistance"

he bowed his head once more as a sign of respect while taking his leave

"Rei sama, Shin sama your rooms are upstairs, you can follow her to show you your rooms"

The butler gestures to one of the maidservants

Merlin and Melinda went straight to their rooms to get their stuff arranged, while shin and rei on the other hand just patiently followed the maidservant who directed them to their rooms.

After climbing up the stairs, the group walked a little bit to the right as they approached two rooms facing each other

"Shin sama your room is the one on the left-hand side, while yours Rei sama is the one on the right"

"Thanks"

Both appreciated in unison to

"Don't worry about that young masters, you should take care of your self"

She then bows and takes her leave

The following morning

The sweet morning breeze and the chirping of birds woke Rei up from his deep slumber

Groaning in pain never wanting to get up from the bed

"Ha I woke late again"

He lazily stood up and went downstairs for breakfast. But he didn't see anyone downstairs, only one of the maidservants stood near the meal

"Good morning Rei sama, here is your meal"

"Thanks but where us every one"

"Merlin and Melinda were summoned to the king's palace while Shin sama went out for sightseeing"

"Oh? is that so, well thanks"

Reid walks towards the food and begins to gobble it until he was full

"Thanks for the meal"

"That is unnecessary Rei sama"

A few minutes later Rei was dressed up and was ready to out

"I'm off to the town I guess I'm also going sightseeing I guess"

Not long enough Rei found himself in the town. The environment was filled with people someone who had a low sense of direction may lose his way.

"I need to purchase some weight for my body training I guess there should be a market close by"

Not long after walking he then located the market

"Bingo"

Entering the market he spotted 10 huge shelves one for foodstuffs, one for clothes, three for jewellery and two for house appliances and three for weights of different types, he went straight to the weight shelf and took sine weights like dumbbells ankle weight wrist weight and went to the shop owner

"Thank you for shopping and all this will cost 2 gold coins"

Reid then dips his hand into his pocket and pulled out the two shiny good coins

"Ok then, take this, you can keep the change "

He opens his dimension portal and stores it inside and was about to leave

"But sir there is no change"

"I know right?"

He left the shop

'I guess I'm gonna grab something to eat, thanks to the golf coin gramps gave to us"

While walking to the nearest cafe in the area he suddenly heard his name

"Oi Rei!"

hmmm?

turning to the direction where he heard his name, he saw shin sitting with two strangers

"Oi shin"

He replied dashing towards them, he picks a seat nearby and sat beside them

"So, shin who are these beauties"

"Rei these are Cecily and Maria, Maria and Cecily this is Rei my twin brother" He introduced the two parties

"Umm, I'm Cecily shin kun saved us from some rogue

people, pleased to meet you" A girl with light blue hair and eyes introduced herself

Hmmmm... Maria stands up from her seat and begins to scrutinize them

"Well, there is some resemblance. I'm Maria pleased to meet you" A girl with crimson hair and bright red eyes introduced herself

"Wow, well I ain't surprised at all, that shin for you he never let harm befall some gorgeous maiden even though there are strangers"

Reid pats shin shoulder

Shin's eyes and Cecily's met each other immediately both of them redden and turn away from each other. Reid immediately notices it

"Shin don't tell me... you're in love"
