Far beyond the worlds of mortals there exists a realm where only divine beings known as Gods reside. These beings known have power to create and change the very laws of the universe, from the beginning of life to the final moments of existence. Within the realm of the Gods, there was a giant structure that housed all the stars in the universe known as the Hall of Stars. Many Gods would frequent this building to do some stargazing. But do not compare it to the mortal's version of activity.
The gods within the realm, whether they were considered evil or good, were bored. So, to alleviate their eternal boredom they would look at stars that were created by other Gods. This Hall of Stars was a place that Gods converged to admire or critique the laws and life that was created. Many Gods use this as a means to flaunt their creations and religious prestige.
The Hall of Stars seemed to vaguely match a certain architecture known as the Pantheon from some mortal civilization. The entrance of the building consisted of a triangle shaped roof held up by stone pillars, while the main building was dome shaped. The entire building was created by the same luminescent stone-like material that was pure white in color.
As the other Gods traversed to the entrance of the building by flying, swimming, and even being carried by servants, a single man chose to walk by himself. This man stood out compared to the others. Although the other Gods differed from each other in terms of shape, color, size, and species, they were similar in terms of clothing styles. If one were to comment about how the Gods dressed, it would be similar to how rich or royal mortals would dress; extravagant, rich, colorful, and even obscene.
The man, however, looked and dressed in a way that was considered barbaric in the eyes of the other Gods. His pure white hair that reached his waist was wild and unkept, matching his blood red predator-like eyes that reflected no one. A dark red leather headband that had animal fangs sewn to make the fangs point upward, similar like a crown, was wrapped around his head covering his forehead keeping his wild mane in place. The only type of clothes that he wore was a grey animal fur skirt that was being held up with a black leather belt. The leather bracers on his arms matched the black belt, while below he wore fur shin guards and no footwear. He did not wear anything to cover his upper body so the black tattoos that stretched from his chest to biceps, and the scars that littered his pale white skin were apparent.
As the man walked through the entrance, many of the Gods above looked toward him with a mixture of fear and disdain. Although there were some that looked enraged, no one had the courage to challenge that man. It was forbidden to cause trouble within the building. If any were to try, they would immediately be punished by the Originals, the supreme beings that created the universe and different dimensions. The man, undisturbed by those that looked at him, continued on.
He walked past the towering pillars without a care as he followed his familiar path toward his destination. Once inside one could see the vast expanse of space. There was neither up or down, and the entrance that lead to pillars was just floating there in space. Without pause the man stepped of the edge of the entrance way and fell down. As he fell, he passed by different stars and divine beings. He continued his descent into the darkness. Once there were no other stars around him, he slowed down and then stopped. Nothing but darkness existed around him, but far above a tiny spec of light could be distinguished.
He walked forward until he saw the darkness around him fade a little. There before him standing out from within the darkness was a semi-white wooden door that had black blotches of corrosion in some areas. Across the door were seven black chains made of unknown materials. As the man walked closer, he noticed that four of the seven chains were broken and hung on either side of the door. When he was in front of the door, cries of agony and fear from men and women of all ages could be heard from behind it. The voices spoke in many different languages, but they all meant the same thing.
'Let me out!'
'I don't wanna die!'
'Please save me!'
'Mommy! Please save me!'
'Help us!'
'Save us!'
If any other being heard the voices they would be compelled to help, but the man stood there without moving, as he listened to the continuous screams of the people behind the door. After a few minutes, the man finally opened his mouth and sighed.
"When are you guys gonna come up with something more creative…it gets boring having to listen to the same thing over and over again every time I come to visit."
The noise behind the doors stopped immediately. Then after a moment of silence, the cries of agony and fear turned into rage as the creatures began to hit and claw against the door, making the chains on the door rattle. They recognized this voice; it was that same disgusting God that would always torment them from behind the door.
"There. That's better." He crossed his arms. "Now you guys sound better."
"You know, if you keep teasing them, the Originals are gonna punish you along with them."
The man already knew who the voice belonged to. It was Lysad(1), the God of Light and Harvest, from the Yattedok(2) galaxy. Lysad wore a white tunic that was covered by a golden toga, revealing his brown leather laced sandals that were tied just below his knees. Around his waist was a matching leather belt that held an empty cup made out of a white curved horn. He had long dark blonde hair that was braided over his shoulder with a wreath made of golden leaves on his head. His hazel green eyes that were full of mischief stood out against his light brown skin as he watched the back of the man stand before the locked door.
"They can try if they want. I don't care."
"Sure, you don't…"
"What is it you want, Lysad."
"I just wanna know if my dear friend has found himself a champion yet. All of the other Gods are in the process or are already done find their champions."
Lysad watched in silence as the man continued to stare at the door.
"…I found one…"
"Oh? Congratulations, my friend! Who's the poor soul that got chosen by Rayah(3), the carnivorous God of War and Death?"
"…someone you don't need to know."
The man, Rayah, turned and left, tracing the steps that he took in order to get to the door. Lysad quickly followed.
"Oh, come on! You gotta tell me! Who is it? Is it male? Female? Or both? Wait, is it perhaps a beast? No…even you wouldn't do that…but who knows…your years of aging could be getting to you…"
Rayah ignored the rambling of Lysad as he bent his knees to jump up toward the stars above.
"Wait! Don't leave me here!"
Lysad immediately pounced onto Rayahs back, wrapping his limbs around his friend's torso. Rayah, although annoyed, did not shake Lysad off.
"How could you leave me behind like that?! All alone in the dark…so cruel!"
"Shut up."
"Wha-! How rude! And I thought I was your friend!"
"You're not."
"Technically, I am your one and only friend!"
"…"
"Well, I know that you like me at least. 'Cause if you didn't, then I would be dead by now."
"Correction. I did kill you. Many times."
"Yeah, but then you stopped."
"Because you became more annoying after I killed you many times over."
"See! You do like me!"
"…"
"Don't worry, Rara, I like you too!"
"…*sigh*"
Rayah decided to just ignore this overgrown bug that clung to him. As they continued to talk (Lysad did all the talking), the light of the stars illuminated through the darkness. Lysad continued to cling to Rayah, treating him like free transportation. Rayah just let Lysad do as he pleased because even if he was annoyed, he truthfully did not mind this bugs company. Especially to a God like himself, who was known to be a loner and an oddity that many did not want to be with.
As Lysad gossiped about the latest relationships between the Gods, Rayah bypassed the crowd of Gods and traveled toward his own galaxy. Compared to the other galaxies that were deemed vibrant and beautiful, Rayahs galaxy was plain. If one were to add up the planets together the total would be four; the sun, the planet, and the two moons. The sun at the center, was circled by a red planet that was covered in white on both ends with patches of black and plain red around other areas. Around the red planet, the two white moons traveled at different speeds, the small moon moved fast and was closer to the planet, while the bigger moon moved at a slower pace farther from the planet.
Rayah stopped in front of his galaxy and watched the red planet, Serven(4), welcome a new day. Lysad got off Rayahs back and watched the planet that lacked any other color beside red, white, and black.
"Rayah, why don't you add some green plants? All that dark color is making me feel sorry for your race."
"My race doesn't need your pity, Lysad. Nor does it need any other color. Red is beautiful as it represents life and death. And besides…"
"Besides what?"
"…it's delicious."
Rayah had his arms crossed as he watched the red planet in front of him. Lysad looked at him with disgust, before shaking his head as if giving up on figuring out what his friend was thinking. Then he remembered something.
"Hey, you still didn't tell me who your champion was." Lysad stood next to Rayah as he was watching the inhabitants of this planet. "Who is it?"
Rayah merely glanced at Lysad before looking back at the planet. He gazed toward a lone tribe that was holding a ceremony in welcoming the birth of new life. He smiled gently as he watched a mother give birth to a son with the help of the kahuna(5). Lysad followed his line of sight.
"Oh? Is it that boy? Hmm…the parents seem strong, so he would to be a great warrior in the future."
Rayah shook his head.
"What? Not him? Who?"
As Lysad said that, the mother who was exhausted and smiling at the father and her child, held her stomach in disbelief as she went into another round of contractions. The father that held the baby in his arms, as well as the kahuna, looked toward the mother in surprise. The kahuna immediately got ready to welcome yet another life to the tribe.
"Her." Rayah smiled with warmth that reflected in his eyes as he answered Lysads question.
The kahuna continued to encourage the mother as the head of the child peaked through, revealing white hair covered in blood. The kahuna froze in shock as the mother gave one last push, bringing the child into this world. He held the crying child with shaking hands as he used his own fur cloak to clean up the blood. The parents were in disbelief as they watched the kahuna wipe away the blood on the child's hair, exposing the white color that was hidden beneath the blood.
"She's my champion."
Rayah decided to give a gift to the child that was born. He waved his hand over the planet, sending ribbons of light to shine through the dark sky. The blue and green vibrant lights cut through the sky across the planet, showing those that lived on the planet the birth of the favored child of Rayah, the Original of the Rabbi(6).
