Devin sent a message to Alex telling him his plans as he was going to log-off first. He will use the potion in reality as Alex keeps watch and replaces Alex, then it would be his turn.

Alex nodded in acknowledgement to the plan.

Devin didn't waste time as he logged out of the game and quickly entered his bathroom as he consumed the potion.

He felt a vigorous energy running through his body as he felt a burning sensation. It felt like his body was getting broken and reconstructed. Then the energy stopped and Devin felt a soothing energy glide through his body even as his spiritual sea consciousness grew in size and became more solid. Devin knows if not for the game restriction he would have gained breakthrough but instead he feels his origin aura is now more condensed.

Devin smelled bad he thought he had cleansed his body of impurities but this is more oily, stinky and dirty. He quickly washed himself up. Devin feels different. Devin saw himself in the mirror and was surprised he looked more handsome and spirited. Devin can feel spiritual energy pulsing through his cells and veins. The primary gene potion is a valuable thing. No wonder a lot of people were vying for it. The effect is strong, not only does it change aptitude, it also helps rejuvenate cells, and body self healing and vitality has increased. Although the game limits his level, Devin can feel he has grown stronger.

"I suppose I had a hunch," Devin replied with a grin. "By the way, congratulations on your breakthrough. It seems the potion had a profound effect not only on your cultivation but also on your aptitude. It truly is a treasure that many would go to great lengths to acquire. Do you know how valuable items that can change aptitude are sought after?"

"Don't worry," Muriel responded earnestly. "I promise not to tell anyone about this."

Devin nodded, acknowledging Muriel's promise.

"Where's Alex?" Muriel inquired, looking around.

"He couldn't wait for you to finish," Devin explained, fabricating an excuse. "He was eager to enhance his strength, so he went to find another suitable location to use the potion. I did the same"

Muriel continued to eat, not prying further as he understood that both Devin and Alex must have their secrets. He respected their right to keep certain things to themselves, just as he had his own hidden depths.

As they continued to enjoy their meal, Alex emerged from behind a tree, joining them and devouring the bear meat with gusto.
