Cleansing The Body Of Impurities

Devin knew that the upcoming mission would be intense, possibly even turning into a dungeon, so he and Alex logged out of the game to strengthen themselves. Devin had already gathered all the materials for bone cleansing and had Emerald Fern Stones. He knew that using these materials would not only cleanse their bodies of impurities but also strengthen their muscles.

Devin ordered two large wooden tubs that would be able to accommodate their size. While he was signing the delivery slip for the tubs, he noticed an email from the auction house informing him that someone had contacted them privately and was interested in purchasing the pearls. They needed authorization from Devin to proceed with the private transaction or wait for the auction.

Devin was solely concerned about the money and didn't care how the pearls were sold. He quickly signed the new contract attached to the email, authorizing the auction house to carry out the transaction on his behalf and send the money to his account.

As if on cue, the wooden tubs were delivered just in time. The owner of the house, Grandma White, approached Devin while he was signing the delivery slip.

"Hello, Grandma White," Devin greeted the old lady.

"Hey, Devin. I knocked on your door, but there was no response. I was worried until my son saw your package and told me you must be in the game," Grandma White said.

"I'm sorry, Grandma White. We didn't inform you and caused you unnecessary stress," Devin apologized.

The old lady waved her hand dismissively. "It's nothing. Besides, I need the exercise. I decided to check on you when I saw them delivering the package. Come with me to get your package."

"No problem, Grandma. Thank you for helping us sign for the package," Devin replied gratefully.

"It's no problem at all. Whenever you're not available, I can sign for you," Grandma White offered.

"That would be great," Devin said, following her downstairs to the old couple's apartment.

Devin entered the house and noticed a young man sitting there, watching TV with a bored expression. Grandma White addressed him. "Neil, bring out Devin's package," she instructed.

Neil, the young man, looked up and noticed his mother entering with someone else. "Hello, you must be Devin," he greeted with a friendly smile.

"Hello, brother Neil," Devin greeted in return.

Neil struck up a conversation, asking Devin how he was enjoying the game. Devin replied, "It's good, it lives up to the claims and even exceeds them."

"That's exactly what I thought. My friend and I are also playing the game. As an architect, I'm particularly fascinated by the architectural design of the buildings," Neil shared.

Devin asked Neil where he had spawned in the game. Neil answered, "I spawned in Gaia village of Meteor City."

"Brother Neil is quite lucky. I've heard on the forums that Meteor City is a vibrant place, rich in culture and entertainment," Devin commented.

"Yes, it is. However, the villagers in Gaia are quite xenophobic, so it was challenging for us to level up initially. But once we left the village and made it to the city, things improved. It's interesting how a city can be so welcoming, yet its neighboring village is so different," Neil explained.

Devin nodded. "Well, brother Neil, even in the real world, we still have places with xenophobic attitudes, so it's natural for in-game villages to exhibit such characteristics."

"That's true. I just hope the game doesn't become too realistic. Leveling up can be a problem," Neil remarked.

Devin replied, "That's true, but it's not impossible either."

Neil looked at Devin in astonishment. "Speaking of leveling up, players named Devin and Alex must be doing something right with the way they're leading the pack. Wait a minute, Devin and Alex…" Neil paused and stared at Devin. "Your brother's name can't be Alex. This can't be a coincidence," he said with excitement.

Devin shrugged dismissively. "Brother Neil, do you know how many people share the same names? It's just a coincidence," he said, trying to downplay it.

"I don't believe in coincidences. My intuition tells me it's you and your brother. I've always believed it," Neil said, laughing. "I finally met a legend! Do you know how much your bounty has increased?"

Devin became more serious. "I haven't confirmed anything. It's just a coincidence," he replied.

Neil patted Devin on the shoulder. "Don't worry, you call me brother, and my parents like you guys very much. I won't sell you out. Your secret is safe with me," Neil assured him.

Devin maintained a straight face. "I told you, it's just a coincidence."

Neil rolled his eyes at Devin's stubbornness, but before he could say anything more, they heard Grandma White's voice. "Neil, stop holding the boy up and let him take his package. Do you think he has too much time in the world like you?" she scolded.

"Mom, that's not fair. Devin is also playing the game," Neil defended.

The old lady saved Devin as Neil left to bring out his package. Devin's attention was caught by a model of a beautiful city in the room. "This looks beautiful," he commented.

"That's the project he used to win a scholarship to university," Grandma White explained with pride.

Devin sincerely complimented the design, and Grandma White smiled proudly as she showed him more of Neil's designs. It was evident that Neil had a talent for design, as each project displayed passion, thoughtfulness, aesthetic, and functionality.

Finally, Neil returned with Devin's package, and Grandma White instructed him to help Devin carry it. They made their way to Devin's apartment together.

"Do these nutrients really work?" Neil asked curiously.

"If the money is available, it's advisable. They help condition the body so you can fully immerse yourself in the game without needing to log out," Devin explained.

Neil confessed, "I guess I'll get one then. I thought it was all just a gimmick to spend money."

Devin shook his head, realizing that many people were treating Oasis like any other game, missing out on the opportunities it presented. "Big brother Neil should stop treating Oasis like other games. If it were, the government wouldn't fully back it up. Anything related to Oasis is the real deal."

Neil jokingly teased, "You're right, especially since the advice is coming from the legendary player Devin."

Devin reiterated, "Let it rest. It's just a coincidence."

As they arrived at Devin's apartment, Alex opened the door to greet them. "Brother Neil, this is my brother Alex. Alex, Brother Neil is Grandma White's son," Devin introduced.

Neil asked in awe, "Is this the second legendary player?"

Confused, Alex asked, "What legendary player?"

"He's talking about the legendary Devin and Alex who are at the top of the rankings in Oasis," Devin explained.

Alex replied seriously, "It must be a coincidence. Our names just happen to be the same."

Devin couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Rolling his eyes, Neil remarked, "What can I expect when one stays near ink – they get stained black."

They decided to exchange phone numbers and made plans to meet when they were less busy. As Neil left, Alex and Devin looked at each other and burst into laughter.

"Did you see the annoyed look on his face?" Asked Alex

"That's because I've been saying the same thing. He's talented, though," Devin said.

Alex asked, "What talent?"

"I saw his designs just now, and they look good. If I am going to build my domain, I'll need an expert in design. I have my eyes on him, but character matters too. If he can keep this secret and not say anything, he's worth recruiting," Devin explained.

Alex agreed, "Well, talent alone is not enough. Character matters."

Devin went to prepare the solution they would soak in, while Alex refilled their cabin.

"This smells so good," Alex commented.

"Soak in it in your birthday suit and make sure not to faint from the pain," Devin teased.

Devin removed all his clothing and entered the tub. It felt soothing, but he knew that once the solution started dredging his body, it wouldn't be comfortable anymore.

Devin wasted no time and started circulating Origin aura throughout his body. This caused the potency of the medicine to course through his veins faster, cleansing his body. He could feel impurities being expelled, and a tingling sensation spread all over his body. The sensation intensified, as if ants were gnawing his body with each passing moment. When the impurities stopped coming out, Devin knew the medicine had lost its potency.

He stepped out of the tub and quickly disposed of the dirty water, washing off the dirt from his body. Devin felt lighter and noticed that he could smoothly run Origin aura throughout his body in reality. He knew that his physical fitness must have increased as well.
