REPENTING ON MISTAKES

As Anna was just spending some days in peace, she got her secretary's call that she was invited to the old master of the Smith family's birthday.

Anna was not going to go but had to, because she was recently involved in business with them and was on friendly terms with their current CEO so, she could not risk anything.

She quickly went for shopping and then bought a rare chess piece that was a souvenir of the Victorian era. Well...she did have to spend a fortune to buy that, but of course it was worth it.

Although the Halls family was also invited they got different invitations.

So, she had to buy a separate gift. She was also relieved that she did not had to see Joannie's face.

On the day, She put on a simple flowy pink dress and paired them with white heels and pulled up her hair into a bun.

After that she took her car and drove off to her destination.

On the other side, the whole Smith family was in a mess as Chase sat there while holding his head.

He had came to his family home, to give his wishes to his grandfather and it had been long since he last visited his parents and brother.

But what greeted him was his whole family bombarding him with questions about, Anna.

He was surprised at first but understood the situation that, Nick had spilled everything.

Mother Smith scolded her son for not telling her even if he liked a girl, god knows for how long they had been trying to find him a girl but her son just rejected everyone.

They were all happy and excited to see their future daughter in law so they immediately sent the invitation for the old master's birthday.

While Chase was happy he was also worried, at how excited his parents were being when he had not even become close friends with Anna.

And as he thought about it he only cursed himself for being so slow.

He decided to spend most of his time today at the party with Anna and get to know her even better.

Mother and grandmother Smith were busy talking about dresses and shoes, and their husbands could do nothing other than shaking their head.

While all of them were being ecstatic, the girl they were talking about was clueless and was currently on her way to the venue i.e. the Smith Mansion.

The party started as groups of many families including politicians, businessmen and other important families.

Women wore their most expensive dresses and men began socializing as soon as they came to spread their connections.

Anna simply entered the house ignoring the different types of gazes, she was getting and simply went to a corner to wait for the party to start.

Suddenly, she received a text from her parents asking her where she was, after replying back, she resumed to staring at nothing.

Afterwards, she saw her family walk in and smile towards her. She smiled back and walked towards them.

After Anna's last warning she had released some pictures of Joannie although blurred.

So after that, Joannie had given up on destroying Anna and was only focusing on her career and her relationship with Ben.

Anna also realized that as they say that time heals your wounds, all her hate dissipated and all that was left was her empty heart.

She realized that what she truly desired was never revenge, but to obtain success and fix her mistakes.

So, although she did not forgive Joannie and Ben she decided to stop bothering them as long as they don't.
