Chapter 46

Augustus went out for a five-mile run around the campus, before returning for breakfast, and finally having a sparring session with Xavier.

"It's like you knew all the moves I was going to make," Xavier said once they were done sparring.

"During your intense fight with Lucifer, I observed most of your moves and learned it," Augustus replied like it wasn't a big deal.

What he didn't know was that he had copied eleven lives worth of fighting skills from Xavier.

"Are you sure you don't have some sort of ability?" Xavier asked in surprise.

"What does ability have to do with learning your fighting style?" Augustus replied.

Xavier shouldn't have been surprised by Augustus learning his fighting style from his fight with Lucifer but he was. He didn't even use as many fighting styles in this sparring session as he did in his fight with Lucifer, and yet Augustus is telling him that he had copied and learned eleven lives worth of fighting styles.

"Your Highness," a student called Augustus while he and Xavier were walking to their dorm to freshen up.

Augustus turned around to see the student that called him and he recognized him. River Cruz, the second son of the Cruz family and the older brother of his ex-fiancé.

"Can I speak to you for a moment?" he asked Augustus.

"Sure," Augustus said, then he continued to walk to his dorm. This meant to River that if he wanted to talk, he had to follow them if he wanted to speak to the prince.

Augustus entered the dorm and went to his room.

River entered the dorm, but he sat on the living room chair. 'As expected, His Highness' dorm is bigger than normal,' River thought out of jealousy.

"Um, so make yourself comfortable," Xavier said when River sat down. "Augustus would soon come out," he said about to go into his room.

"Xavier," River called him. He turned around and hummed in response. "Do you know His Highness' fiancé?"

Xavier raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Yes? I know him? Why do you ask?"

"My sister wants to cause trouble for him," River replies blankly. "And I want to warn His Highness before anything happens, to at least stop her be..." He noticed Xavier was looking at him weirdly. "Did I say something wrong?"

Xavier didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry. Lillian wants to cause trouble for Lucifer, it would be interesting. "I advise you to tell your sister not to try it," he said seriously.

"I already tried because of what His Highness might..."

Xavier interrupts him. "No, no, no," he said shaking his head then sat down and then placed his hand on River's shoulder, squeezing it tightly. "It's not Augustus you should be worried about what he might do," he said. "It's Phoenix you should be worried about. His eyes widened, "That guy's the devil in disguise," he said, before mentally adding, 'Literally'.

River is about to say something but Xavier stops him. "If your sister goes too far troubling him, she would suffer horribly and your family wouldn't be able to do anything about it," he said. "And what he would do isn't going to be pretty."

"You're being dramatic," River said.

Xavier looks at him blankly. "If you love your sister, you would tell her not to do anything stupid."

'Well, I don't love my sister,' River thought before nodding.

Xavier left and Augustus came in with his holopad watching something. "Now, Phoenix go and wear this dress, and let everyone see how beautiful you are!" Apollo shouted excitedly.

He looks at River and says, "I apologize but I need to make a call, I hope you don't mind."

He was holding a different holopad, one that Lucifer had sent to him when he bought four holopads.

Augustus placed the holopad on the desk in front of him. River takes a glance at the video Augustus was watching. It seems to be a live video. Three girls and a boy. The blonde boy seems to be dressing up the girls like models.

Augustus made the phone call, and one of the girls jumped on the bed behind them and took the holopad.

"Savior!" A slightly masculine voice came out of the girl's mouth. River then realized in surprise, that was a boy.

"Phoenix?" Augustus said, looking at the video and making sure he was calling the right person.

'That's Phoenix?' River thought in surprise. He is so beautiful.

"Yes?" Lucifer replies. "That's weird I can hear my voice on your side," he said, getting off from the bed. "Are you watching me from the link I sent you?" he asked.

"Yes," Augustus replied. "Your hair is a lot longer than the last time we saw each other.

Lucifer smiled and flipped his hair back a bit. "Do I look good?" he asked.

The people who have been following this live video for about an hour were surprised when they saw their 'beaut' smiling.

[He finally smiled] Someone in the comments said.

[Never thought our beaut would be smiling so lovely!]

[That is the smile of someone in love]

[He did the hair flip Apollo has been trying to teach him for the past hour.]

Lucifer got out of the bed and left the room. "He's never coming back here," Apollo said, sounding a bit sad.

"Why did you leave?" Augustus asked.

"I was bored when I did it," Lucifer said. "I am no longer bored and I've been looking for a way to leave."

Augustus looks at the video and sees the comment section.

[Beaut please come back!!]

[Don't go!]

"The people watching seem to love you," he said.

"Meh," Lucifer grumbles. "I don't want to wear any more dresses or be in the middle of Athena and Apollo fighting over which dress fits me or Artemis."

"But I thought you look cute," Augustus said. River who sat down silently was listening, when Augustus said that, if his jaw could drop to the ground it would.

Lucifer was quiet for a while and Augustus became nervous. Did he say the wrong thing?

"You like the way I looked?" Lucifer asked.

"Yes?" Augustus replies, silently hoping that he didn't make any mistakes.

Lucifer returned to the room. His face was slightly red. Before he looked at the camera and said, "I have returned, but I'm not doing this for anyone viewing this."

"Your love said something to you?" Apollo touched Lucifer's shoulder and whispered in his ear. Lucifer jabbed his ribs, quite hard.

Apollo crouched a bit, showing a pained expression. "That hurts."

Augustus ended the phone call and turned off the video, before turning to River. "I heard your conversation with Xavier," he said. "Phoenix might do something horrible to your sister, but I will ruin your family and remove them from the noble line," he said calmly.

River didn't care about his sister, but he cared for the rest of his family, so he didn't say anything and just nodded.

"Good, Augustus said. "You may leave now."

River got up and walked to the door. Before he left, he said, "You have a beautiful fiancé, Your Highness. I wish the both of you happiness."
