Invitation and token

Yusheng was in the study when zhu mama entered to inform that the emperor has send Feng Min with an invitation.

Yusheng went towards the hall where Feng Min was standing upright as soon as she entered he gave a grand salute- your lordship this little one has been send by the holy one requesting to have lunch if possible..

Yusheng nods followed by zhu mama and xiaoqing she soon reached the palace. Welcomed by rows of servants she was lead to a beautiful pavilion where emperor along with empress and pei jin were already present.

Because they had viewed each other as friends when the emperor cupped his fist forward to Yusheng smiled and cupped her fist sideways. But to the empress and pei jin she just nod's her head as acknowledgement for their salutation.

Though they were treated as air they were still pleasant by the changes between emperor and Yusheng. As everyone took their seat delicious food was served.

Two maid servants came forward with rose water and a delicate looking box. Xiaoqing was about to step forward but then stopped as Yusheng held her back with her hand raised. The delicate box was opened for her to see there was a pair of chopsticks maid with red sandle wood crowned with gold on top.

Yusheng motioned xiaoqing to take the stuff from the maid servant showing she has accepted the friendly gesture. Xiaoqing took the water then helped Yusheng to wash her hands, then she wiped the chopsticks with warm towel before placing them.

Emperor was happy that Yusheng has accepted his gesture and waved his hand for them to leave alone, only Feng Min and xiaoqing remained to serve them.

Just as they started du mama came, everyone beside Yusheng placed their chopsticks and looked at her to know the reason for she came..

Du mama gave the salutation - this small one greets the holy one, her majesty, esteem lord and qinwang. Noble consort greatly misses everyone and humbly desires to be at your presence..

This was implying that the noble consort wanted to have breakfast with them. Empress though unwilling inside didn't rebuke waiting for the emperor to decide while pei jin was busy looking Yusheng and the emperor looked at Yusheng as he knew the hatred she carried for this noble mu.

This was Yusheng implying she doesn't acknowledge the presence of another wife even of the emperor, once taken wife till death will be his wife and vice versa, hence beside empress she will not meet his other wives.

Du mama hadn't thought that Yusheng would só daringly point out that though titled as noble consort but was still another women with or without the empress. But she just couldn't leave without emperor's order so she maintains her salutation like a statue.

Empress was very happy inside and getting the hint from emperor "tell noble consort that we are with esteemed lord now, and will definitely call her to have a nice family dinner tonight when it's just us."

She was implying not everybody will give you face, stop sticking gold on it thinking you are someone important.

Du mama returned back with a black face and reported to consor mu. Once again things were broken and teared down. After an hour she calmed herself and consoled herself that this was indeed the teachings of liu. While at the pavilion everyone had a good meal, especially the empress, her face was glowing with never ending smile. After the meal, tea was served knowing her preferences pei jin had send his subordinates to bring this tea.

After taking a sip, emperor from his sleeve took out a gold token size of his palm. That was a free pass token presented to the royals only. " your lordship this is a free pass token prepared for you, making it easier for you to send messages and display any needs.. sending the token with the person will help them not to be obstructed while entering."

Yusheng took the token and passed it to xiaoqing "indeed would be less of a hassle. This lord suddenly desires to have a game of Qi... qinwang why not join this lord?"

It was a hint and everybody understood that Yusheng wanted to have a private chat with pei jin thus before anyone empress with bright smile relied... ofcourse it would be qinwangs honor, feng Min have people prepare the lake pavilion.

The lake pavilion was a place where royal family banquets would be held, hence the other times was the most secluded place.

Emperor gave his nod on the choice of place and feng Min was already in his way. After some time feng Min came back informing the place has been prepared.

"Emperor this lord knows of your workload hence won't stop you further.. empress the meal was wonderful.. if you have time on hand this lord likes moonsilk cakes and milk dough pastries will trouble you."

She was implying the empress that she don't need to worry and she will be presented good news. As sweets were presented only for happy and good matters.

Hearing Yusheng, empress had tears in her eyes but not a drop spilled her smile so wide she looked very beautiful.

Then with lots of unsaid word of thanks in her eyes - this palace has time, has been a long time since this palace had made some by her hands hope your lordship would pardon if the taste is not up to par.
