Chapter 97 : I look pretty in black and white.

Luscious only laughed as he remembered what happened, " Isn't she amazing?. Those guys were right, she is entertaining " and drank the wine in his hand, leaning on the railing.

" This isn't a joke Luscious and you shouldn't be drinking so early in the morning ", Luscious rolled his eyes with a faint smile on his lips " Drinking makes the problems disappear for a while. Don't ruin this for me ".

Axis couldn't help but sigh as he took the glass from Luscious and kept looking between the two before gulping it down, " This might be harder than I thought ". Luscious laughed, " She even made you're sister apologize, Archie was right, she is amazing ".

Axis frowned slightly as he punched his arm, " No matter how dumb she really is, she's still my sister ". Luscious rolled his eyes when he noticed Kancor under a tree not too far away, " You ever get the feeling that isn't Kancor ".

Axis shrugged, " He hasn't been acting like himself but I don't think it's a body double ". Luscious nodded in agreement but couldn't stop thinking about it. He didn't seem worried about Caitlin through out her entire ordeal which was strange enough.

But then he had this faint smile on his lips the entire time Nectar was in the room. Like he'd just stumbled upon the rarest jewel but was still trying to act casual about it, " Do you think the empress's met Kancor before "?

Axis shook his head lightly, " I doubt that, their kingdoms are opposite each other. Kancor's health wouldn't let him go on a journey that far and I'm sure he would have mentioned it once and Nectar has never been to Sepafi ".

Luscious nodded skeptically then knitted his brows, " How do you know all that "? Axis smirked, raising his glass " Everyone, every place has demons ". Luscious nodded, too scared to bother asking.

He heaved a long sigh as he looked into the courtyard, " Why do you think the empress did that earlier? She could have just let it go ". Axis rubbed his nose lightly " I'm not sure, but she could be insane or temperamental. Personally, I think it's both ".

Luscious smirked, nodding his head " You're not wrong but it could be more than that ". Axis groaned, putting the cup on the balcony railing, " Enough with the god damn questions. If you really wanna know, ask her ".

Nectar paid no attention to whatever was happening in the welcoming palace. If things hopefully went like her first life, Eros would leave her behind and take Athena instead when they went to Season's Castle.

So why not just destroy any sort of collaboration with the other kingdoms. It wasn't enough to start a war but hopefully weaken Eros' power in general.

She'd being in a foul mood the entire time he was gone and then Athena would constantly send her notes just to mock her, [ She was quite thorough in her humiliations, I'll give her that ]

She was looking forward to spending winter with people that didn't give her wrinkles. And yes she'd made a scene knowing fully well that she wouldn't have to see them again. An image of Luscious flashed through her mind and she frowned [ He's still going to end up dying ]

Nectar had gotten the hammock assembled again and was swaying gently in it with one hand and leg dangling out. As usual, Liam was on the branch above her [ How is ever comfortable up there? ]

Nectar already felt herself dozing off when she heard voices, loud voices that were sending sleep away [ There's only one narcissist that would do this...I just hope I'm mistaken ]

Nectar sighed as she walked out of her little clove of trees and towards the gate, meeting Eros in the middle and curtseyed, " Greetings to your majesty, the first star in the dragon's domain ". Eros didn't answer and she maintained her position.

Then she heard a sigh as he helped her stand straight. Nectar nearly yelped, the hair standing on her neck as she faced him. " I told you to drop the formalities Nectar ".

Nectar subconsciously took a step back expecting arrows, poison, maybe an anvil to land where she once stood but nothing happened. She smiled faintly, " Forgive me. Good morning you're majesty ".

Eros smiled and looked around her palace, Nectar was looking at the grass beneath her feet and cursing him while praying he'd leave in her mind, " Have you read the paper this morning "? Nectar shook her head lightly, " No, why do you ask "?

Eros smile reduced slightly as he looked at her, " Why not "? Nectar shrugged lightly, " I'm not a fan so I don't request for it ". Nectar wasn't lying, she preferred listening to things like that than reading about it. It sort of bored her.

Nectar pursed her lips as she watched Eros' brow twitch slightly, " Is something wrong your majesty "? Eros sighed, putting his emotions back in check. He was about to say something when he heard a violent bang on the side gate.

Reli stormed in, she was dressed similarly to Nectar, in a cream knee length dress with light brown feathers on the round neck collar, rim of the dress and ends of her belle sleeved dress.

She had on the brown boots Nectar had given her on her first visit. Her hair was in curls that bounced angrily with it's owner, " Sister Empress can you imagine...". Reli instantly calmed down, no longer waving the newspapers in her hand.

She quickly curtseyed, holding her dress, " Greetings to the emperor, first star in the dragon's domain ". Eros stared at her for a few minutes before waving her off, " It's being a while Imperial Consort Reli ".

Reli smiled faintly before walking towards Nectar and whispering with her head down, " I didn't know you were having guests your majesty, I would have come later ". Nectar chuckled lightly, patting her head " It's alright. I'm sorry for the interference your majesty, what were you saying "?

Eros pointed at the paper in Reli's hand, " Consort Reli and I actually came for the same reasons. If you would ". Reli quickly opened the paper, it showed pictures of Nectar through out the banquet last night.

Reli found the comments odd and it made Nectar seem like a slut but Nectar frowned slightly, [ I hate black and white, no color it already bores me ] Looking more closely, she realized it was her but she only laughed and pointed at the picture, " I look so pretty in black and white. Aren't I amazing "?
