Chapter 57 : No joking around.
Nosa and his brothers were arguing with the rest of the miners to let them help to open the cave. They'd gotten here a few minutes ago since it wasn't too far from the capital city but these workers were proving more than difficult.
Even thinking that they came to steal from the empress's mine, that was why they'd sent a messenger to the palace in hopes she could do something to help but they weren't necessarily expecting her to personally come.
That was when Liam appeared out of nowhere along with a sudden gust of wind in their center. Smoothing out of the wrinkles on his pink dress shirt, he turned to Nosa " Have you seen her majesty yet "?
Nosa shook his head and Liam frowned slightly " Where is the closest source of water to this place "? They all pointed towards a clear lake that was once popular for its gold.
Liam nodded gratefully and strolled over to it. Nosa focused more on Liam instead of the argument that had resumed among the miners and his brothers.
Then he saw Liam holding on to a familiar hand and pulled someone up. He was even more confused when he realized it was the empress and she was even smiling.

Nectar had being trying to find the mines for a while now and she just wasn't popping where she wanted to pop. Trying one last time out of frustration and appeared here.
She'd reacted quickly enough to hold on to the soil and saw the lake beneath her. The dirt wasn't solid enough to hold and she felt herself slipping. [ I got changed for nothing ]
Opening her eyes, she realized she wasn't soaked and was being held up by something. Liam sighed as he pulled her up " What were you thinking "? Nectar laughed nervously as he pulled her up, " I had good intentions this time, honest ".
Liam smiled as he gently placed her on the floor " How did you get here so quickly Millie "? Liam flicked her forehead as they walked towards the group " Don't try and change the subject ".
Nectar pouted, rubbing the spot " I was just very grateful for your help ". Liam dug his ear and nodded " Let's just get this other with ".
Nosa felt his mouth twitch as he pulled his brothers " Guys, the empress is here ". William frowned at him " This isn't a joke Nosa, lives are at stake ". Nosa pulled his brothers again more fiercely " Just turn around ".
But they didn't have to since Nectar popped up standing between them " So how many people are stuck inside the mine "? One covered in dirt frowned as he looked at Nectar " And who are you supposed to be "?
Liam smiled faintly at " She is the owner of this mine ". The man instantly shut his mouth and Nectar turned to Nosa and his brothers " Could you guys help us move those boulders "
They nodded and walked to the entrance. Nosa was more interested in how they got here and why they couldn't do it themselves. " How did you get here so quickly empress "?
Nectar shrugged " There's a lake nearby so I was able to get here quickly ". Nosa didn't understand what she meant but nodded anyway " But your so powerful your highness, why not open the mine "?
Nectar perked some but Liam face palmed her " Don't even think about it. You'd only drown them ". Nectar pouted slightly as she kicked a rock " You're no fun, why are you even here again "? Liam pulled her ear slightly " To keep you out of trouble and or accidentally killing someone again ".
Nosa felt dizzy as he watched Liam and Nectar bicker back and forth [ They're not even taking this seriously ] Liam was definitely the only one in the entire empire who would dare to tease the empress so much and get away with it.
William ran over, his deep red shirt covered in dirt " This isn't working your majesty, there seems to be something wrong inside as well ". Nectar nodded seriously and clasped her hands pleadingly to Liam " Let me help 'em Millie. Pretty please ".
William was slightly irritated at the exchange [ Lives are at stake here, is this some sort of joke to her? ] He was about to say something but Nosa signalled him to stop and he did.
Liam sighed as he nodded in agreement and Nectar happily dragged him towards the blocked entrance. William's mouth twitched as he looked at Nosa " She's in insane, she isn't even taking this seriously ".
Nosa laughed as he patted William's chest " She isn't worried, so why are you "? Nosa walked off and William after him " You're spending too much time around the empress. She's beginning to rub off on you ".
Nectar cracked her neck and stretched as she faced the rock wall, " You ready "? Liam who was leaning on some rocks at the entrance nodded and Nectar beamed even more.
Arron furrowed his brows, wondering what she was up to. He was about to stop her when Nosa stopped him " What are you doing? We should stop her before she gets hurt ".
Nosa nodded in agreement, forcing him to take a step back with him " You're so right, but let's just take a few steps back ". Arron didn't understand him or why he was listening but he did.
Then there was a loud boom sound as the rocks suddenly fell out of place. They seemed to be covered in ice and suspended in the air before slowly coming down on one corner of the entrance.
Nectar smiled brightly, skipping over to Liam " I did good, right Millie. I didn't even hurt anyone this time ". Liam nodded, patting her head " Of course Qidu, you're getting better at controlling your powers ".
Nectar turned back to the people who were silently watching her in a daze and clapped her hands " Don't just stand there, get them out "!
