Chapter 44 : Empresses don't say please.

Reli was really surprised by the decor, it was whimsical but oddly elegant a lot like Nectar but now she was getting more curious " I really can't wait to see the way you plan the ball sister, your waiting hall is beautiful ".

Nectar laughed it off " I should thank you, I never thought I'd use it ". Reli furrowed her brows, she was walking with Nectar to one at the end of the hall " Then why does it look so nice? I could live in here ".

Nectar giggled slightly as she played with the robe " I thought it would be fun and it was ". Cookie found herself talking without thinking " Then what would my empress have had in mind "?

Nectar hummed, putting a finger to her chin " I would have giving it to the kids or make it a play room or a training room or something but Liam wouldn't let me ". They entered the room, there was a small coffee table and a few chairs scattered around the place.

There were real and paper flowers as well placed in vases and placed randomly in the room. Reli seemed so excited " Sister, these are my brothers Arron, William and Nosa ".

Nectar felt a lot better since they didn't seem suspicious of her but Nosa had her attention, though he'd died eight months from now in her first life, he'd gone on his first raid and won many accomplishments for his empire.

He'd even become an Earth bender, the strongest kind of earth breaker meaning he could bend the forces of nature to his will but unfortunately, Eros had them executed.

Nectar felt excited as the thought became stronger and clearer in her mind [ He can prove useful to me in the future....but how do I make him behave? ] Nectar was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a throat clearing sound.

William had tried to get her attention, though he looked like his brothers, he also seemed like the frailest though he had the same muscular frame as his brothers but gentle features with the same small nose and long thin lips like Reli's but Nectar knew better.

He was the number one tactician in the empire, even surpassing his mother and he was ruthless to match, when spies or enemies were caught and refused to speak. He always found a way to make them talk but wouldn't let them die and instead torture them till they seemed dead [ I'm not scared of him, just cautious. No need to kill them while they're useful ]

" Is there a reason my empress asked for our presence ". Nectar tilted her head, looking confused " Reli just wanted to see you and this was the quickest way to get you here ".

Nectar knew she must have sounded like she was threatening someone or her words had a double meaning but a girl could only try so hard and she was still too tired to care. Nosa seemed confused and spoke " So you mean that you sent for us just to see our sister ".

Nectar nodded " Yes but if you want to run errands that can be arranged as well ". Nosa instantly rejected the offer " How dare I go against her majesty's plan ". [ A free vacation, I'm not letting that up ]

Nectar nodded happily " And you Lord Arron, Lord William "? They nodded " We'd be honored to assist you anyway we can in the future ". Nectar got up " Alright, I'll leave you four to get back to each other. I'll be around if you need anything Reli ".

Reli nodded happily " I want pudding, lots and lots of it, Can I sister "? Her three brothers glared at her childish rude manner of speaking but Nectar giggled again and turned to one of the servants standing nearby " Go get her the pudding please ".The servant quickly left and so did Nectar taking the other door between the staircases.

Nosa craned his neck out of the door and watched Nectar leave, he turned back when he was sure she was gone and looked at Reli " Did someone kidnap the empress. Are we here to protect the body double "?

Reli flicked his forehead " Of course not, why would you say that "? Nosa wrinkled his brows " From what I know, empresses don't say please ". Reli rolled her eyes " What do I have to do to make you like her "?

Arron was playing with the table as he rested his elbow on the table and looked at her " How did you two even get so close? You have to be careful Reli, the imperial palace is a lot more dangerous ".

[ Can they be more thick headed? I can't just tell them I've been an emotional wreck for the past year.....I'd never hear the end of it ] The servant was also back with the pudding so she played with it for a bit " Well, when my butterfly hair pin got stolen a few days ago ...."

They didn't let her finish and were already about to run amok to find the hairpin and whoever stole it. Reli sighed as Cookie got up [ That's the problem with these overprotective brothers, there's no off switch ]

Cookie blocked the door and Reli slammed her hand on the table " Sit your asses back down ". They were a bit surprised but they sat.

Arron spoke first " You know I'm older than you right, you shouldn't speak to me like that ". Reli put some pudding in her mouth " But when Big brother gets out of hand, I have to put him back in line since I'm calmer ".

William and Nosa laughed at the exchange but instantly shut up when he glared at them. Taking advantage of their silence she spoke up " As I was saying, When it was taken we decided to let the empress decide. Though I was skeptical and no one wanted to help me. We went along and..."

Reli narrated the whole ordeal and how Nectar saved the hairpin but that didn't calm them down in the slightest. William removed the rimless rectangular glasses on his face " They've bullied our sister so much ". Nosa made a fist " We must get revenge by ten fold, right Arron ".

Arron's smile had an evil glint as he spoke " Of course, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. We must thank the empress for making this possible as well ".
