Chapter 39 : Today isn't my day.

Nectar sighed as she got out of the throne. There was no point going on with this when all these women were thinking about was how to catch Eros' attention and possibly become the next Empress.

Nectar would happily give it up, its not easy living with a target on your back but she didn't really have anywhere to go or anything to do and besides it was a lot easier to get her revenge this way.

Reli had stayed being and talked with her about how grateful and excited she was to see her brothers who were now with Eros in the main hall.

Nectar truly was happy for her but all this smiling was making her even more tired. They walked out together with Liam two steps behind her. The ministers were already strolling out.

Reli didn't think she could just pass the fountain and search for her brothers in the hall so she craned her neck scanning all the faces for her brothers.

But Nectar saw them first and she was too tired to dig a hole to bury herself [ Crap, today is just not my day ] Reli's brothers were actually the three that tried to arrest her last night.

She had to leave her quickly before anyone recognized her [ This is so hard, if they realize it was me, I'll be stuck in this palace...I can't let that happen ] So she smiled at Reli " I'm sure you'll see them soon but I have to go ".

Reli nodded back earnestly " Don't worry, they'll be out soon so I'll wait a little while longer ". Nectar could hardly breathe, they were also searching for Reli now.

Though Liam was quietly standing by he was caught off guard when Nectar held his hand and started speed walking " Come on Liam, we have to go now ". Liam furrowed his brows as he let Nectar drag him off.

She kept glancing to the side and he looked back, he saw Reli's brothers [ They look a lot like each other ] " What's wrong Nectar, don't you want to meet the Sopins brothers "?

Nectar shook her head vigorously,she could already see her palace in the distance [ We can make it, just a few more steps ] She pulled Liam more fiercely " Come on Liam, hurry up ".

Nectar could finally breath when she was back in her palace. She collapsed on the green grass happily, when she opened her eyes Liam was staring down at her " So you rushed back to roll in the grass "? Nectar laughed nervously " Maybe, maybe not. I don't have to answer you ".

Liam sighed as he walked past her " I'll go get the demon worm silk, don't burn the place down before I come back ". Nectar nodded, getting back on her feet [ I don't think I have to change, I'll just wear this ]

So a servant came and took the hairpins he'd earlier placed in her hair and the tiara. Stretching under the slightly warm sunlight, she walked up to a tree. Though the trunk was a green color it was still quite healthy, Nectar liked the pineapple like smell coming of its orange leaves.

Finding the right spot, she breathed in slowly and a building sound could be heard. She didn't want to sleep in her room and Liam had already taking down the hammock so she was making something else.

Using her powers and the water already present in the tree to make a sturdy swing set. When she was done, it was the basis as her bow earlier - with flowing water encased in ice and this time covered in very fix soft feather like frost.

She asked for a few blankets and some cushions which were quickly gotten. Though their empress liked to do things on her own, they were always on standby close by and happy to help.

Nectar happily covered the two long seats with red cotton blankets and the base with a rug type one. She placed four circle cushions at the four sides.

Though she was sleepy, she couldn't outrightly fall asleep so she decided to keep herself busy till she dozed off. Kicking off her boots, she got comfortable in the swing.

She had a blue blanket on her legs, so she raised one up on the seat and the other dangling beneath her. Since she was too tired to outrightly design their rooms, why not just deal with the little details.

Since Jewlica wanted Poppies in her room, she would make them with a little ice magic. Then June wanted oak leaves on the walls, she could make a few and use them later. Nathaniel wanted sea shells and she'd seen a lot on beaches in her second life so she could do that.

Though the kids were awake, she could hear their arguing going on upstairs but she felt Fauna and Tera [ So many superstars I never noticed all at my beck and call ]

Eros had a thorn in his side about two years later when two professional thieves kept stealing from his nobles and then giving it to the poor. It was seen as a rebellion but Nectar found it funny.

They were somewhat close that time and he'd constantly complain about them to her, though he never listened to her advice they were uncatchable.

She'd actually met those two when she left the palace on an official assignment. She'd seen them giving it out. Though only their eyes could be seen under the mask, it was obvious they were happy.

Just like Fauna and Tera, they had an eye patch, one blue eye and the other an orange one. She couldn't bring herself to report them though [ Maybe I accumulated so much good karma I can't die ]

Examining the poppy in her hand she smiled and shook her head " Its a nice thought though "
