Chapter 17: Zenith Magic Test (3/6) Physical Prowess Test

"Time to treat some patients then," Chiyo said lightly and smiled as she walked down to the platform straight towards the first collapsed student. With a slight raise of her finger, extremely thin strings of mana enveloped the collapsed students, and they floated.

'Such precise mana control! Only six years, yet the people in this world are already this strong!' Ryu's past life memories came out of his mind as he looked at Chiyo's mana control precision. That kind of control over mana isn't as simple as having talent; you have to train it day and night to manipulate that mana strings of that thickness.

'Haha, the people in this world are absolute geniuses. Is this the effect of acquiring technology before magic?' Ryu couldn't help but the question in his mind. Although A LOT of people can barely use magic properly, it's still hard to imagine that some can manipulate magic to a great extent for only six years.

'To be as good at manipulating mana as Professor Hironaka, the world's people in my past life, requires at least two decades or so.' Ryu crossed his arms as he looked at Chiyo, who made all of the students who had collapsed float.

After that, she gathered them all in one spot and stood close. Chiyo smiled lightly as she flicked her finger, causing a space magic array to appear right beside her. A gigantic barrel with a faucet suddenly appeared beside her.

'Hmm? That feeling… they already made mana potions? And it's extremely pure too, much more potent than the mana potions in my past life.' Ryu thought. 'But there's one thing; Professor Hironaka should be cautious with the doses as the students could get an overdose of mana called Mana Poisoning, which is incredibly dangerous!'

A small flask then appeared on Chiyo's hand as she filled it with the mana potion from the barrel. Just as Ryu had thought, Chiyo was cautious about giving the students the correct dose. She lightly pressed her hand on their chest, and she immediately knew how much mana could fit in their mana pool.

She then poured the right amounts of the mana potions into their mouths, and they soon woke up, with their faces frightened from what had happened.

Seeing this, Chiyo laughed as she said, "You've fully healed up now, students. But unfortunately, you have failed the test, and the administration requires you to follow the protocol and head back to the academy."

The students who have failed felt depressed as they stood up slowly with their heads hanging down. Although some of the failed students couldn't accept the fact that they failed, they had no say in the matter as the professors were powerful and could kick them out by force.

"Hai~ Students who have passed the test, prepare for the next test!" Chiyo lightly smiled as she walked back up to the professors' platform. After she came back up and sat down on her chair, Lilia then stood while shouting, "The Physical Prowess test will now commence!"

"Professor Hidaka, can you please reveal the machinery?" Lilia looked at a professor clad in metal armor. He looked like a medieval knight ready for battle. That person then stood up while his arm struck the air. A huge metal object suddenly morphed into being in the middle of the students' platform.

"It's huge!" Nila couldn't help but exclaim while Ryu and the other students behind him looked at the machinery with curiosity. 'They combined metal magic with actual technology; how interesting.'

"I will call upon the students' names, and you shall strike the Strength Measurement Device in front of you. Strike it as hard as you can without using mana!" Lilia commanded loudly as she crossed her arms.

The order of the students getting called was the same right to left format, but Lilia used this to be able to introduce the students who had already passed the bare minimum.

Lilia then called upon the students' names one by one, and the students stuck the measurement device sequentially. They average between 120kg of force despite some having small builds as their bodies have been strengthened to wield magic properly.

Some of them even reached 200kg of force. They excelled quite a bit in the physical category, unlike their results in the magical variety. After that, it was finally the girls' turn!

Ryu already knew that the girls should be able to beat average boxers' force and could possibly even surpass the strongest punch force recorded a few years back. Nila then smiled wildly as she rolled her arm while holding unto her shoulder while approaching the machine.

She shouted, "Oryaaa~!!" with a wide grin while punching with all her force. A small shockwave formed as the meter of the machine rolled intensely. Nila then turned back with a thumbs up while looking at Ryu and the other girls while her meter reached 500kg of force.

Next was Emma. She just slightly shook her arm in a cool manner with a small smile. She pulled her fist and punched with all her might as she reached the device. Her punch came with 560kg of force, causing a small dent to appear on the device.

Then Anna was next. She wasn't the most athletic of their group of three with Nila and Emma and preferred to study magic, so she certainly won't pass their scores. She walked up to the device and punched with all her might, and she reached 420kg of force which is still impressive!

Aoi was next. She didn't do anything besides work in an office, so her punch shouldn't be that strong. She then approached the device and punched in as hard as possible, but she barely reached the 250kg threshold.

It was finally Hina's turn. She barely did an excellent job with the first test, so she focused all her willpower and tried her best. She then pulled her fist as far as she could and shouted, "Haiya!" and punched the device.

The meter then climbed up to 110kg of force, but suddenly, a vast shockwave blew, and the meter went wild! The meter looked as if it wouldn't stop, but it finally reached 700kg of force after a while!

All of them had shock written on their faces, even Lilia. 'Does Ryu have monsters for siblings?! The races they evolved to shouldn't even have that much force!'

Even Ryu was slightly taken aback. 'How the fuck,,, That's… Impressive….'

Even Hina was slightly shocked at herself as she stumbled back, but she immediately regained her posture as she said, "Nii-chan, Nee-chan, did you see that?!"

"Amazing… Hina, you didn't tell me you were this physically strong!" Aoi was excited for her sister. Although she got a pretty low mark on the Physical Prowess test compared to the trio, she didn't feel bad as she was better than the average.

Ryu then slightly shook his arm and walked towards the machine. He had not even the slightest bit of hesitation as he gave the device a strong jab. His fist seemed to cut through the air as the fist made contact.

A loud bang could be heard echoing throughout the two platforms, causing a slight tremor to occur. A cloud of dust covered the students' platform, but it dissipated in a couple of seconds and what's left of the scene was a machine, completely bent, with the meter displaying an error sign.

"Lilia… I've never heard of someone excelling this much in all of the tests and completely breaking the machine. He's ranked first in all of the tests…. What the hell is your disciple, Lilia. Where did you find this monster of a disciple?" Chiyo couldn't help but ask solemnly.

Lilia just laughed dryly as she said, "He just came up to me and almost killed me unconsciously."

"What the fuck?" Chiyo was gobsmacked, but Lilia just laughed it off. Lilia then stopped laughing and leaned her back against the chair's backrest while saying, "I don't even know what kind of monster he is, but he's a good kind of monster. I mean in both ways."

"Did you have sex with your disciple?"

"Yep."

"Wow, you just admitted it cleanly like that, huh… what a weird master you are."

"I don't even think I'm the master in this situation cuz he's basically the one teaching me new things."

"He's that strong?"

"Yea, both ways."

"Shut the fuck up."

After they bickered for a while, Lilia looked at Professor Hidaka and beckoned him to repair the machine. And with a simple hand movement, the machine slightly vibrated, and as if it filled itself with air like a balloon, it inflated and fixed itself.

Lilia then called the following student, "Up next, Kenji Sato! "

Yes, The half-orc-looking man walked up to the machine, which was already fixed, and stared at it for a few seconds. He closed his eyes with a slight "Hmph" and simply jabbed the machine, and it almost got destroyed! The meter wasn't even responding anymore as well.

He had intense physical strength! Ryu was a bit astonished, but he simply expected it from scanning the pressure exuding from the half-orc. The man turned his eyes to Ryu with a sharp glint and tried to exude even more pressure.

Seeing this, Ryu laughed internally. 'Did he notice me observing him earlier and think that I'm belittling him? He's trying so hard to threaten me. Let me show you what real threatening is like.'

Ryu's eyes suddenly dimmed slightly as he stared at Kenji, the half-orc man. Terrifying amounts of back shivering pressure exuded from Ryu, but he only directed it toward Kenji. Kenji couldn't help but stagger as large beads of sweat formed on his head. After that, he turned his head away and stood right back at where he stood earlier, and Ryu withdrew his pressure.

'I should make the strongest students here my followers.' Ryu thought with a slight smirk. 'If I want to restore my strength as a God, I should gain as many followers as possible.'

Professor Hidaka instantly fixed the machine as well.

"Elina Dragonhart, your next!" Lilia shouted, and a dragon-raced woman walked toward the machine with an emotionless face.

Although she was carrying around a spear, she decided to drop it and formed a stance most typically found in karate. With a deep breath, she sent out a straight punch that exuded intense pressure. As it reached the measuring device, it bent, but not to the extent the Ryu and the half-orc made. The meter skyrocketed to 2,420kg of force!

Once more, Professor Hidaka was pestered to fix the machine.

This made Ryu impressed. 'If she had a fight to the death with one of the girls, she would probably win. Her physical power can absolutely annihilate the girls, not to mention matching that up with her magical strength that could compare to the girls. But I still don't know her mana capacity because the girls' mana pool is humungous.'

"Next, Toshiro Sasaki!" Lilia shouted once more, and the slit-eyed blonde smiled lightly while saying, "Yes, ma'am."

He then walked dignifiedly towards the machine, and his eyes opened slightly as he was in intense focus. His aura became even more dignified as he punched the device in a knightly manner. A small shockwave burst forth, and the meter went up to 501kg of force.

"*Sigh* is that the best I can do?" Toshiro said heavily, but his seemingly depressed face instantly turned into a slight smile.

'This guy is very knightly, yet very cunning. He should be a great strategist.' Ryu stared at Toshiro as he walked back to his spot.

"Next! Mizuki Lantratef!" Lilia called, and the doll-looking girl turned her head towards Lilia slowly and turned back to look at the machine after a second. The chonky snowy owl on the doll-looking girl's, or Mizuki, slightly opened its eyes as Mizuki walked towards the machine.

"Ehn," Mizuki said as she sent out a punch to the device. As the fist and the machine collided, the meter rolled towards the great score of 60kg of force! Ryu chuckled lightly as he thought, 'Though, in terms of pure magic, this girl can dominate as I sensed that when the first test occurred, her target was destroyed to atoms using a simple spell. She's just not the physical type.'

"Alright, next up! Kasumi Bushida!" Lilia called out.

The possibly demi-jaguar-raced woman's ears lightly twitched as she pulled out the lollipop she was sucking. With her golden eyes glowing lightly, she dashed towards the device at an outstanding speed!

She didn't waste time as she instantly sent out a punch while growling lightly. A sound of wind getting cut echoed as Kasumi's fist collided with the machine. A loud boom echoed as the machine bent once more! An astonishing score of 5,669kg of force appeared on the meter.

The students were barely surprised now as one person completely annihilated the machine, and another almost destroyed it again! The meter was broken twice! Professor Hidaka was just getting even more annoyed as he lightly muttered, "HOW MANY TIMES MUST I FIX THIS DAMNED MACHINE?"

A few more students passed as Lilia finally called unto the student Ryu was paying attention to the most. "Next up! Yuki Yoshimura!"
