Repercussions - Part 3

"Hmm, so due to the assimilation of Goliath's residue energy within my body, I broke through from Angelic Cultivator to Demonic Cultivator and earned an extra ten attribute points. Totaling to about twenty which were distributed evenly into my stats, along with an increase in affinities and law comprehension," Rin muttered to himself as he sat up and squinted his eyes as they were still adjusting to the brightness of the room.

After, using Heart Mantra to nourish and rejuvenate his body which allowed him to move and finally open his eyes a bit, following his three-day slumber. After, passing out before the results could be announced and his spar with Gabriella could occur.

A few minutes later…

[Hmm, truly peculiar… so after much consideration, my father said that while they could grant you access to your memories, Rin they would need a drop of your blood to make sure the foreign energy had not corrupted your body in any way. Considering a trace of cursed energy might have merged with your body and while it has not affected you so far, we do not know what effects it might have on your future.]

'Sigh, um okay… so is that why, I feel so drained and tired after waking up?' Rin asked Rose as a needle appeared out of nowhere and pricked his finger, followed by a test tube that collected his blood sample and disappeared afterward.

[That is a possibility, however, we will not know until a couple of tests are run which should take about a week. Since while a trace of curse energy lingers in your body, there also exists void, ruin, and a bunch of others so, it may take a while to isolate the different energies within your blood and focus solely on the curse energy portion.]

'Um, okay… just tell me the results when they come out, so now that you have a drop of my blood, what now?'

[Well, I am going to run a diagnostic to make sure there does not exist anything within your body that can be hazardous to your cultivation. While you will be taking this time out, Rin to reflect on your recent actions as you watch memories of your fight with Wendell in its entirety from a third-person perspective.]

"… I see," Rin muttered, "So is there anything I must do to prepare for the diagnosis and this cascade of unforgettable memories?"

[Besides canceling Heart Mantra, just lay down and relax as I will take care of the rest.]

Rose said as Rin laid back down and canceled Heat Mantra, dispelling the gaseous rainbow-like energy that engulfed the entire room and even the surrounding area. Awakening the sleeping guardians stationed outside Rin's medical bay upon sensing the gradual disappearance of this rich energy.

Which they had been using to cultivate for the past 15 minutes as they took full advantage of this God-given opportunity to make some progress in their cultivation. Since not everyone was like Rin who could cultivate passively and increase their cultivation by a level each day.

Plus, it was not easy to find such a decent cultivation spot, which was rich in energy at their cultivation.

Outside of Rin's medical bay...

"Hmm..."

"What is it, Stuart?" Violet asked with a hint of concern as she gazed at her Dao companion.

"There's been a massive decrease in the quality of energy within our surroundings," Stuart replied as he squinted his eyes and glanced around to make sure everything was normal. Before shaking his head in disappointment after not being able to pinpoint what might have caused this phenomenon.

"B… B-But how it does not feel as if the energy in our surroundings has changed?" Violet asked confused at what her partner said as it did not seem like there had been a change in their degree of energy within their environment.

"It might not seem like it, but there has been a dramatic shift in energy as compared to a few minutes ago. Sigh close your eyes, Violet and take a deep breath," Stuart said.

"Okay," Violet replied as she followed Stuart's instructions and entered a meditative state.

"Now, for a normal cultivator, this would be impossible, however, considering you are a Mid-Tier Lower God spread out your consciousness and try to interact with the energy around you. At first, you may not sense anything, but if you listen closely, you will be able to hear a slight vibration." Stuart said as he stopped and waited for Violet to perceive what he was talking about.

Rustle.

"Baby, am I supposed to be seeing small orbs of light that resemble stars in the midnight sky flying around me? That vibrate at varying frequencies, which are sometimes low and other times high, and collide periodically producing the sound of two marbles hitting each other?" Violet asked telepathically to make sure she was not going crazy as she never realized just how beautiful the energy around them could be.

'Hmm, it seems she's more talented than I realized,' Stuart smiled as he continued to observe his lover, "Yes, now during this process as atoms continue to collide and vibrate, this creates what we as cultivators call a high-density energy field or blessed land. But instead of these atoms moving at varying speeds, they all vibrate and collide at a heightened intensity which produces heat. Now before I go any further what do you think that heat is, my darling?" Stuart asked telepathically with interest as he waited for her to answer.

"Is it what we call qi, which would mean that through the usage of techniques, we can draw this heat into our bodies to cultivate, refine, and gradually allow us to produce such energy on our own? But that is only in the later stages of cultivation, where its rumored cultivators could create inner worlds within their cores. Am I correct?" Violet asked as she opened her eyes and gazed at Stuart.

"Nicely done and they call my future wife, stupid?!" Stuart chuckled as he applauded his wife and jumped back, "Hey, is that any way to act after someone complimented you, beautiful?"

"Tsk, for a scoundrel and a liar like you, yes, it is handsome?!" Violet uttered as she glared at Stuart and pounced on him.

"Hey, hey… Haha, stop right this instance, this is abuse! Haha, police… police help a violent woman is attacking me!" Stuart exclaimed amid muffled sounds of laughter as Violet tickled him.

"Sorry, my good sir but it seems today is your unlucky day! So, try as you might but you will never get away from the attacks of the Tick Queen! Now suffer my wrath and shut up," Violet smiled as she continued her assault.

A few minutes later…

"Now, I dare you to call me stupid, Stuart, and watch and see what happens next time! Hmph," Violet said as she glanced at her husband and left him to his own devices as she went to go check up on Rin.

'Tsk, now I know why Father, said to never joke around with a woman for they can never take a joke as just a joke. Now look at me, sprawled on the ground like a traumatized kid after being beaten up by a pack of bullies in a dark alley.' Stuart thought as he sighed before standing up and following silently behind Violet.

Unaware that in the next couple of minutes, they will come across something neither he nor Violet will ever forget.

Meanwhile…

[Oh, and one more thing while the diagnostic is going on you might suddenly feel sleepy, so just allow it to happen and do not try and fight it. As it will make the process much easier for both you and me, but any who enough talking and sweet dreams, Rin.]

"Okay," Rin nodded as he yawned and closed his eyes before dozing off, just as a blue light appeared and scanned his body from head to toe before disappearing.

[Now that step one is out of the way, I guess I should begin the memory drive…]

Rose muttered to herself as she tapped an icon on her screen and waited for it to downland before hitting upload causing Rin's consciousness to be transferred to a simulated reality. Where he witnessed firsthand his and Wendell's fight from when he entered the arena to when he collapsed, shortly after saying his goodbyes to Orion.
