Orphanage Home ( Years before the apocalypse )

At the entrance of the orphanage

Sister Rachel : mr and mrs Gilbert welcome, we've been excepting you

Mr Gilbert : thank you, where are the children

Mrs Gilbert : ohh am so nervous to meet them…. Have been waiting for this for so long

Mr Gilbert : it's okay honey am sure you will love them

Sister Rachel: you're right sir, the children here are well-behaved. And said in your file you want a teenager

Mrs Gilbert : yes you see we are getting old and can't raise a young one, so we want a teenager

She took them to were the children where

Jane : hm your new mommy and daddy ( talking to Anna )

Anna : haha they look rich I bet they stay in a fancy house

Anna : ( smiled ) well the only thing I care now is how much is in their wallet

Anna : let's just say borrowing their future daughter

The two started laughing

Mrs Gilbert : oh what you ladies talking about

Sister Rachel : yes we did our best. Come with me to the office to sign

Mrs Gilbert : great led the way.

Mr Gilbert : what about her mother hope no one will come looking for her

Sister Rachel : oh no no rest assure she's our when you sign. Her mother passed away

They left. Anna and her friend Jane went to sister Rachel office.

Anna : oh sister, were is my new mommy and daddy ( being sarcastic )

Jane : ( laughs ) nice one

Sister Rachel : they put it some other time

Anna : let me guess, you told them about my mother addiction to drugs and me running away. You know if you want them to adopt me you should stop telling them that. ( turn to Jane ) come on girl let's go

Later that Night

Sister grace : light out and go to bed I don't want to hear anything apart from breathing

She walked out of the room and lock the door

Jane : do you really want to do this ( whispering )

Anna : I can't stay here anymore, it suffocating the hell out of me. I don't know about you but am leaving

Jane : you always get caught, how sure you won't this time

Anna : pretty sure, are you coming

Jane : as much as I want to see the world, no thanks it's crazy out there

Anna : okay then will send you pictures of me living the life

Jane : good luck, you go now before you get caught

Anna : good bye

30 minutes later at the police station

Police 1 : I told you it's her ( laughing ) pay up

Anna : isn't it illegal to gamble on someone

Police 2 : someone like you should not be talking about what's illegal or not

Police 1 : you take her back to the orphanage

Police 2 : no I can't I have to go back home to my family, just take care of it

Anna : or you can let me go ( smile at them )

Police 1 : really fun

Police 2 : no worry just lock her up beside it's late and the drive there is long, take her back in the morning

Police 1 : problem solved . How will you like to sleep in the cell ( asking Anna )

Anna : it's not a new thing beside I will get the room to myself

Police 2 : good

NEXT MORNING

Sister Grace : am sorry officer for the trouble

Police 1 : it's okay, we are used to it especially with this one ( point to Anna )

Sister Grace : is there anything you like to say to the officer

Anna : am not sorry for causing you trouble and you would have just leave me there, I was comfortable

Police 1 : will be expecting you some other time

Anna : seriously take me with you, just so you know I do drugs wont you arrest me

Sister Grace : you will not leave this room for the next two weeks

Anna : cool meaning no duty

Sister Grace : Heavenly Father have mercy ( did the cross sign )

Sister Rachel : oh goodness they found her

Sister Grace : seriously if she continues like this she will end up in jail

Anna : I never asked to be here in the first place

Sister Rachel : mind the way you talk to mother superior

Anna : the only thing I need is going out of this fucking dumb shitting place

Sister Grace : don't worry you will be 18 soon and once you turn 18 you are an adult and can make your own decisions

Anna : does it mean I can get the hell out of here

Anna : then I will start counting my days of leaving here

Sister Rachel : mother superior you can't let her make that decision

They left together leaving only Anna in the room.

Jane : I told you you will get caught

Anna : I was half way through

Jane : hm… I over heard what sister Grace said…. Are you really going to leave when you turn 18

Anna : have been living my whole life here, I can't take it anymore

Jane : luck for you then. I have to wait for extra 2 years to be 18

Anna : don't worry I will come visit or better till, I can adopt you

Jane : hahah really funny ( being sarcastic )

Anna : I just have to wait a few longer.

A MONTH LATER

Jane : I will miss you Anna, come visit okay

Anna : sure will, wish me luck

Jane : I will pray for you

Anna : who know you might be the next mother superior

Sister Rachel : are you really letting her go

Sister Grace : she will come back, she won't last for three days

Sister Rachel : Anna ( walk up to her ) here take this money and find a place to live and get food too ( handed her the money )

Anna : thank you sister Rachel. I will get going now. Bye ( wave Jane )

Sister Grace : how nice of you

Inside a noodle/ tea shop

Mr Chen : 看她从那以后就一直躺在那儿了 ( English translation : Look she have been lying there since )

Anna : I don't have anywhere….just let me be. ( using her hand giving a sign she should leave )

Mrs Wu : You have no respect for elders ( use her hand fan to hit her head )

Anna : old lady am trying to be nice

Mrs Wu : go away find somewhere else to sleep ( she went inside )

An hour later Anna was still lying down outside her shop

Mr Chen : 为什么她还在那儿 ( English translation : why is she still there )

Mrs Wu look outside

Mrs Wu : 我确信她离家出走了( English translation : am sure she ran away from home )

Mr Chen : 这些美国孩子很麻烦 ( English translation : these American children are troublesome )

Mrs Wu : 那个人看起来很固执,就像她拥有一个精灵( English translation : that one looks stubborn, like she Possess with a genie)

Mr Chen : 看来现在要下雨了 ( English translation : look it wants to rain now )

Mrs Wu : 照顾顾客即将到来 ( English translation : attend to the customer am coming )

Mr Chen : 只是账单,他是来看足球的 ( English translation : it's just tom, he comes to watch football )

Mrs Wu went out to meet Anna

Mrs Wu : 你到这里为止 ( English translation : you are till here )

Anna : ( she raise her head to look at her ) I don't understand your Chinese shit

Mrs Wu : you cruse too much ( hit her head with her hand fan ) follow me

She was going inside then turn to see if Anna was following her but she was till on the floor, she went back and hit her head with the hand fan and and raise her up by her ear

Anna : ( standing up ) woahh woahhh ( she pulled away ) old lady you really want to see me angry

Mrs Wu : who you calling old, watch your mouth ( hiss at her ) look rain fall very soon come inside or stay here

Anna looked at the sky and saw it was about to rain. Then she follow Mrs Wu inside

Mrs Chen : stay here ( point to a chair close to her ) don't go anywhere

Anna sat down. Mr Chen came to her

Mr Chen : 你叫什么名字 ( English translation : what's your name )

Anna : I told you I don't understand your Chinese shit, leave me alone

Mrs Wu walking to were she was sited with a bowl of noodles

Mrs Wu : don't cruse in my shop. Here eat ( gave her the noodles ) He ask what's your name

Anna : ( pick up the chopsticks trying to pick up the noodles ) Anna

Mrs Wu : she said Anna

Mr Chen : 她脾气暴躁 (English translation : she very grumpy.) ( turn and left them alone )

Anna : can I get a fork, I don't know how to use this things

Mrs Wu went inside the kitchen bring back a fork with her

Mrs Wu : here ( gave her )

Anna : cool ( took the fork and started eating )

Mrs Wu : you young people can't thank elders well. No cool say thank you

Anna : cool ( said with a straight face while eating )

Mrs Wu : You pain in the ass

Anna : you're not the first person to say that

Mrs Wu : where are your parents, give me number I will call them

Anna : I don't have

Mrs Wu : you don't know their number ( she was shocked ) and you big

Anna : I don't have parent….am orphan ( continues eating )

Mrs Wu : oh my. ( called mr chen over ) 她没有父母 ( English translation : she doesn't have parent )

Mr Chen : 我确信他们离开她是因为她脾气暴躁 ( English translation : am sure they left her because she grumpy )

Mrs Wu : ( use her hand fan to hit him ) 别说那样的话 ( English translation : don't say thing like that )

Mr Chen : 问她她的家人发生了什么事 ( English translation : ask her what happened to her family )

Mrs Wu : ( turn to Anna ) what happened to your family

Anna : ( she push the noodles bowl aside ) she died giving birth, I don't know her husband

Mrs Wu : you mean your father

Anna : last I checked I don't have a father

Mr Chen : 从那以后你住在哪里( English translation : where have you been living since )

Mrs Wu : he asked where have you been living

Anna : at the orphanage

Mr Chen : 她逃跑了 ( English translation : she ran away )

Mrs Wu : you ran away

Anna : well I used to but I always get caught. Once I turned 18 I left

Mrs Wu : they let you go

Anna : yes sister grace, she most be expecting me to come back, in her face

Mr Chen : 谁的恩典 ( English translation : who is grace )

Mrs Wu : he asked who is grace

Anna : nun at the orphanage

Mrs Wu : she said nun at the orphanage
