63. The Approaching Calamity Part 2

Earth opened a portal and brought Cheche to them by force, "augh" Cheche rubbed his head and back, and when he looked up, he was met by Cleopatra and someone else he didn't know until they talked.

"The old masters' butler, Cheche, the only survivor demon from Heldburg. In the 700 BCE, after Heldburg was attacked by the barbarians of Inimic, the first dark mana master came to the capital and found nothing but destruction, and because he felt bad for you and your homeland, he decided to live there except he left everything as is because you didn't want anything to change" Earth finished talking and watched the man get white as a ghost.

"H- How did y-"

"Don't you remember who was with him that day?" Cheche gasped before he started racking his mind to remember who that person was. When he finally remembered, he looked up at Earth in terror.

"Y- You! The- The terrifying warrior!!" He pointed a finger at Earth and trembled in fear until something struck him, "uh, h- How did you get me out of the pendant?!" Earth kept staring at him before they walked to the enormous ball they had shocked with some kind of electricity, "answers aren't needed now, what we need are actions and stop the disaster before it occurs" they put both hands on the ball and struck another shock of electricity this time double the strength.

"Wh- What are they doing?" Cheche turned to look at Cleopatra who seemed to be barely able to stand on her feet, he looked back at Earth, and suddenly his body started to react like Cleopatra's, he started to feel heavy though he wanted to so badly turn his head somewhere else, yet the view in front of him seemed to keep him still in his place which became unbearable.

In another part of the underground and far from Earth, Nature was busy fixing System 0 but the dark mana emitting from him was very imbalanced that was hard to fix him.

She sighed and apologized to him before she held his body and threw it into a portal, the place he fell into was unknown, and everything that cannot be used anymore was dropped there.

She walked out of her room, but the sudden strike by another imbalanced mana made her fall to her knees and cough from suffocation. Nature pulled her head up and looked at the visible line caused by the electricity Earth was releasing. She tried to stand up and go after it, but she fell back. The sudden decrease of air made her leaves hair turn yellow and orange, and her lips get chapped, her face became white and yellow.

The whole thing started to get exhausting for her, so she let her heavy eyes close for now until someone notices her absence.

Back to Earth and the others, things were still painful for them all, but they were able to hold still until they finished.

Earth pulled their hands away from the ball and fell to their knees, "finally" they mumbled

"Wha- What did you, augh, d- Do?" Cheche asked breathlessly. Earth didn't answer immediately, they waited until their breathing got normal, they turned to the two who were colorful from exhaustion, "I- I formed a protection shield on the planet. Since it's imbalanced it'll get the attention of our enemies, dealing with the current disaster is more than enough another one and we might fall, and we'll follow Heldburg"

Cheche flinched and looked at Earth who stood from their place and stretched, "wh-" a screech made him halt and look at a huge screen that appeared. On it, there was a falcon that was being eaten by the darkness before it changed into a big bird with blade wings.

Cleopatra stood from her place and rushed outside the room to find Nature; no animal nor a plant can get to that terrible state unless something bad happened to Nature.

When she was close to Nature's room, she sensed dark mana close by. Her body trembled but she held still and kept moving forward, but once again, she halted when she saw the state Nature was in, dark mana was around her, and a few things similar to tentacles were moving through her body and aiming to any open place of her to enter and destroy her insides.

Cleopatra's eyes turned white and golden flashes of lightning formed around her before she hit the dark mana with them. She watched them as they squirm and crawl away, but she stopped them and held them in a bottle planning to give them to Nature and Earth to study them.

"Nature!" She kneeled to check on her, she had a fever but other than that she was fine. Cleopatra sighed in relief and called for Horus to lift her to an isolated room far from the imbalance.

Earth came at that moment with Cheche on their lead. When they saw Nature, they ran to her and held her between their arms, "this is the cause" Cleopatra held the bottle in front of Earth who gritted their teeth before nodding.

"Keep that filthy thing in that room until Nature recovers," they said between gritted teeth and walked away, "and Cheche? I don't need you, for now, I'll call you back another time when things are under control again" they looked at him with cold eyes making the man shiver and nod before he faded back to the pendant around Cleo's neck.

The pendant glowed but Cleo didn't notice that because she was busy understanding where in heaven she was.

"Welcome sister. Come in and join us~ We've been waiting for you~"
