Can you believe it Doctor?

'How could I believe you?',asked Dr. Jeffrey. 'To be honest,even we don't know if we fully believe ourselves.',said Leo. 'You say you are from an alternate universe. How is that possible? And if you don't mind,I couldn't fully believe three 13 year olds.' 'We don't know the answer ourselves sir. And as you said,we are 13 year olds,we are not crazy.' 'Am I supposed to believe that you fall into a pit and come out in another universe?' 'We told you two times already! We don't know what happened or how it happened.' 'Ok,then prove it. Show me the pit.' The three hesitated,then Leo said,'Ok,we will show you.'

They were on the way to the State Park in no time. Dr. Jeffrey didn't believe them,but they didn't have much to make him. 'What were the differences you saw?',he asked while driving. 'Well,the first thing we saw was that the welcoming board said "Welcome to Culverwell" instead of "Welcome to Caliente" ' ,said Sergio. 'Caliente was found in 1901 on Culverwell Ranch,built on lands owned by William and Charles Culverwell. It was initially given the name "Calientes" but later changed to "Caliente" in our universe which is the Spanish for "Hot" because it had many hot springs. But here,it is named after the Culverwells.',said Brian,in his usual I-don't-know-how-I-know-it tone. 'Second,',said Sergio with a smile,'We saw Leo hanging around with his crush hand-in-hand,and the fact is that she rejected him back home.' Leo went slight red again. 'Third,Brian saw himself with chains around his neck and half his hair blue.' Dr.Jeffrey threw a somewhat observing look at Brian. 'Fourth,we saw what we think is your principal,who is supposed to be dead back home.' 'He is alive here', said Dr. Jeffrey. 'Fifth,we saw a girl of our grade with differences,and sixth,we saw some houses with differences.' They arrived near the camping area and started looking for The Pit,and found it,but it wasn't the same.

The Pit had grown bigger. It was worthy to be called 'weird' now. The four of them were careful not to take risks. Leo, Sergio and Brian can see the look on Dr. Jeffrey's face. It was a shocked look and he was right to be shocked. It was around 6 pm,the sun was still bright enough,but The Pit was not like any other. Regular pits showed how deep they were,but this one showed just blackness. It was pitch black and dark. Nothing could be seen inside it. It was like a large black poster with blurred edges was put on the ground. 'Oh my God', said Dr. Jeffrey. 'It is,it is..I can't find a word. It is unbelievable. Can I,umm,put my hand inside it?' 'We will hold you. Give your other hand.',said Brian. He did so. As soon as he put a hand inside it,he took it out. 'Jesus,it's cold. But not as much as you said.' 'Maybe it will be colder in the depths.',said Leo. 'I don't believe it.',said Dr. Jeffrey. 'Same here.'
