Slaughtering The Externals

I had taken up the daggers and had begun to do the rights to bind the weapons to me, even if Yao wanted them back she couldn't take them. They were from someone i considered a little brother and honestly if she tried to stop me I'd bring Emelia into this.

I heard Yao cough lightly, her eyes staring at me with a smirk firmly in place. I rolled my eyes and finished the rights as Fleur watched Yao create intricate lines of magic to write runes on the very space in front of her. Fleur had taken to the magic eagerly and had even tried to replicate it somewhat using minor knowledge she scrounged from Emelia when she wasn't busy pampering us and cleaning up after the kids. She had succeeded somewhat in her first try but it had faltered and collapsed seconds later.

The rune was coming together as various forcefields shined within and outside of the large twenty foot area that the runes were placed around. I was nervous to verse my opponents but held steady in my determination as I had Yao and Fleur with me. I was not usually a woman for nervousness but this was a momentous occasion where I would catch up to the power of some of Emelia's other women. I couldn't help but think that this was the reason she sent me on this mission, to re-establish the power I was used to having and to also show me that sometimes friends and allies were more important than raw strength.

Emelia tended to overthink things sometimes as I had already learned these lessons in the past but it was still really cute to know she was thinking of me like that. She was way too concerned about other people than with herself, maybe that would be something that needed to be brought up at our next Therapy session with Linda. The hum of magic soon dragged me back to the present as Yao gave one last look at me before turning back to the runic circle. I didn't get much time to contemplate as the area soon alit with a dark purple and green aura that slowly gathered amongst the shields, fuelling them with power it seemed.

At the same time a black and ashy substance shockwave into the room and then through the walls as It spread out. I was guessing this was the curse that would bring them all here. I gripped the daggers within my hands as Fleur looked on with her wand extended, the power being useless against my fellows, the thought was there though. Yao started to chant in ancient Greek as the black ash started to slowly gather back towards the circle, like the shockwave was reversing in time.

"Ἔλθετε καὶ συναθροίζεσθε ὧδε, πλανωμένα παῖδες ἀθανασίας!" Yao's words were rather weird and seemed to be off in some places but she basically called the Externals Immortal children and asked them to come back... She actually asked them to come back for bread but whatever.

The daggers started to glow as if sensing the presence of immortal entities as the black ash began to slowly hover in place. An instant later all of the others of my group were dropped to the floor, their bodies writhing in pain and aneurisms as the very skin of their bodies slowly started to slaw off of their bodies.

I resisted the puke that gathered at the base of my throat and with a single nod from Yao ran over and started to stab at all of them with my knives. Apocalypse was first as i knew if he escaped the entire mission was fucked. My fancy golden blades, shaped like teardrops, slid into his neck as my shadow power consumed him in its embrace. Seconds later I felt a power enter me. I ignored this sensation and moved on, quickly and efficiently doing the same to each of them.

Candra was starting to stand up when I finally reached her and slit her throat. My shadow consuming the lifeforce of each of them. Massive amounts of power filled my being as my very cells were regenerating faster than human, alien or normal god. Crule was next, his massive purple form cringing from the pain as red entered his eyes, the rage he was known for coming out. Without any effort I beheaded him and drained his life force away. One by one i continued this until the only one who was left was Saul. He was an old looking Asian man and was currently staring up at me with disdain and hatred covering his visage.

"Y-you, fucking, traitor..." Without any hesitation I dug my dagger through the bottom of his neck and vertically carved upwards, breaking bone and spilling blood everywhere as the dagger finally slipped out at the top of his skull.

"No, i am the winner." I could feel the power well within me as Fleur threw her guts up onto the floor, her stomach straining from the effort. At this moment she was dry heaving. I soon left her to it as I began to float into the air like those women in horror movies. Yao looked on in complete disregard and seeming indifference as she just whipped her hand and cleaned the blood away, with myself having already consumed the bodies of my fellow externals. She went over to Fleur and helped the woman out as I felt a change of my very being as my body and soul were lifted into a higher state of activity. 

The act of killing them had been so easy that I almost forgot that I had spent thousands of years contemplating how to achieve the actual thing. Callisto had even helped me consider the option on the few that were around during his time. My melancholy quickly faded as soon the unadulterated power filled me to the brim, the bones within my body distending and expanding to suit a larger body. 

'Maybe I'll get up to eight feet tall?' I had a slight smile as I remembered Emelia's Primordial form and its ten foot height, her ten foot height. It happened, like a breaking dam the power exploded and imploded outwards and inwards as my entire body started a process that would easily be explained by Emelia in future.
