"Mommy!" Liam exclaimed, clearly delighted to see me. He made little grabbing motions with his hands with a sunny smile on his face.
Flynn lifted him carefully over his head and lowered him down to me where I scooped him into my arms, kissed him and perched him on my hip.
"Hello, handsome. I thought you were going for a walk with grandma?"
"He was until he saw me," Flynn smiled, "Can I help it if I'm more fun than her?"
"Daddy ball wif me?" he asked interrupting us.
"Daddy can't play ball right now, Liam, but Lee loves to play ball, don't you, Lee?"
Lee was sitting on the edge of the table and slid slowly to his feet. I felt bad my family had already demanded his help that morning, and Flynn was asking more of him.
