He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. Some Rest

"What's happening tomorrow?"

"The people Katrin managed to piss off will be showing up most likely, Katrin has said she's confident in dealing with them and I trust her. I'm just a little worried, one wrong move and she dies. Then this country will be consumed by them. The most I can do to help is just be there. Not many remember me but I was strong enough to be respected even in Dracal if just a bit."

"Having a little worry is fine, I wish I could help as well. I'll be absolutely useless there unless you think there's anything I could do. I'm down to try anything just to see if it helps."

Tapping his chin, Aeon tried to think of something Xilo could do.

"I don't really...hmmm, maybe there is one thing you could do. It might be a bit risky though so unless we have to I'd rather you not do it. If it comes to it, I can get you to use some of that energy Katrin stole from everyone, with that you could gain some power temporarily in exchange for a few years of your life."

Xilo really didn't want to have to do that but he did say he would help.

"Let's leave that as a last resort for sure. I wanted to ask about all that energy as well. Since Katrin was the one behind it all, will she be stopping that plan?"

"Last I talked to her, she said she would be halting anything further involving that poison. She also mentioned she would send out supplies and some doctors to go around to help everyone. Ideally everyone will be fine within a month or two if we're lucky. I don't know how she created a poison like that, however she promised to never tell anyone about it, even me."

The two of them sat around talking for a bit longer as the girls looked around the Castle. They had Felli show them around wherever she could to get a better feel for the place. "A big place." Xelfia also took the opportunity to get to know Felli better as well. She hadn't met her before so it was her first time properly talking to her. "Aside from what Tearia and Xilo told me." Brushing her loose hair back behind her neck, Xelfia asked Felli questions here and there. Like how she grew up or how they had all met. "She seems nice...very shy though." Whenever Felli spoke she always seemed so quiet and a bit distant. After hearing a bit of her life in this castle Xelfia understood it. Felli was similar to Xilo in that sense.

"Maybe that's why she likes him?"

She found someone with similar traits to her that could still move forward. it could have started as Felli looking up to him then evolve into something much more. Watching Tearia and Felli chat also made Xelfia feel a bit like a Mother for a moment. "No,no,no,no!" Shaking that thought out of her head instantly Xelfia really didn't want to imagine that. If anything she was definitely the older sister, not a mother. "I can already hear Xilo laughing at me." If he knew what she was thinking he would probably laugh himself out of breath. Before they left to explore they had also talked a bit with the people Katrin introduced them to.

"They seemed like decent people."

Xelfia really didn't care to dig any further than that though. Talking to other humans was always a bother to her. Travelling around they eventually found a giant spiral staircase that led to a tower. Tearia got a bit excited about it as she ran up the stairs forcing everyone to follow her. "So much for checking out our rooms." Following them up the steps Xelfia lightly danced up them feeling some weight leave her body. Once they reached the top Tearia opened up a door leading to the outside. Guarded by stone railing, the girls were above the city looking down on it. Roof tops spread out before them like layers to a cake while people spread around the city. Right now most we're being calmed down after the events of yesterday while others were being treated.

Leaning her hands on the stone railing's Xelfia felt a chill in her body.

"That poison spread to quite a few people here."

"Mother waited until the last moment to use it here yet it still hit a lot of them. With such a large population living here it makes sense. Now she has to deal with all their outrage though and calm them all down before they fall into a panic."

"How's she going to do that?"

"With force, she's gathered up a bunch of leaders and people who work for her. She's sent them out into the city to explain a bit of the events while also calming their nerves. Since she broadcasted it to everyone it's a bit tricky to solve but she already has a few scapegoats she can use. Rumours have spread lately of a person who can tell the future in this city and how they were living in the castle. She plan's to use him as the primary reason for yesterday's action."

"Will that work though?"

"On most of the common people, yes, the rest will be forced into silence. Factions that oppose her though will take this opportunity to tear her down and when they do she'll stand no chance. So coupled with all that she's scrambling to find a new Queen which would be me...If I agree."

Chiming in from the side Tearia asked Felli a question.

"Oh right, why did you say you didn't want to be the new Queen Felli. I think you're pretty perfect for the role. You've got the looks, the family and the power for it."

Feeling a bit shy, Felli sank down a little as she spoke.

"I just don't feel like it's the position for me, I'm not a confident person or well spoken. I'm bad at directing others and fumble a lot. Finally I'm really weak even with training. I don't think I can reach the strength my Mother reached. Maybe if I could master my use of Space Energy but that'll take a while. I fought yesterday using it with the help of a weapon and while I have improved it's nowhere near the strength of My Grandfather. I'd also like to travel with Xilo and you guys more."

Felli's voice turned very quiet at the very end of her sentence.

"Oh please, you're more than capable. You're Grandfather was late into his life when his powers finally grew, you're still young and when I met you, you were full of confidence and helped me out quite a bit. You should stop underestimating yourself and have some more self worth."

"...."

"Tearia's right you know, you were quite strong when we fought against you as well, even if the weapon helped you using Space, it didn't help you elsewhere. The rest was all you and you almost forced all of us back together. Plus I'm sure Xilo wants a girl who carries herself with pride."

Ending with a wink Xelfia laughed as she saw slight signs of Felli's face turning red, maybe Tearia didn't hear the end of Felli's sentence but she did.

"Enough sightseeing, let's go check out our rooms from now. I want to judge them for myself."

"Ok, ok."

Xelfia pushed Felli down the stairs as she dragged Tearia by the hand with her.

"Oh right, Xilo there was one more thing I wanted to talk about. After this you can go back and rest for the remainder of the day I promise."

"Sure that's fine, what is it?"

"I want you to set out for an Astral Zone as a bit of exposure to them along with some other things. I'm sure Katrin will explain it in more detail when she tells you. I just wanted to give you a heads up, you'll be assigned to one soon."

"Alrighty, which Astral Zone will we be in?"

"The one in Belturn."

Enjoy.
