Chapter 45: Stand Down Comic

Lars ran forward, this time Directly at Clarence taking a shot at his jaw.

Without even batting an eye, the black whip Clarenc ehad used earlier appeared in his hand blocking Lars's attack.

"How!" LArs said. "Where is that whip coming from?" He said to Clarence.

"From my ether!" Clrence laughed. "My whip can appear anywhere I put my ether! I call it."

Whipping his hand backwards, Clarence caused three black ether strands to turn intot hree whips. wraping around Lars with ease he tossed him intot he air, once again sending him crashing onto his rear.

"Miracle whip!"

Rollign on thhe ground Lars searched for a source of water. finding the side of small store's piping he ripped it open letting the water spew out.

"Oh?" Clarence remarked. " A water shifter?"

"Sorry old man!" LArs thouhgt. Wrapping the water around himself he sent a wave of water at Clarence.

Ember, still in the backroun dhadn't looked up a single time, still enjoying her book, shhe completely ignored the wave of water.

"Lets see how your whip helps you now!" Lars chimed.

"Easy enogh." Clarence said standing in the middle of the wave. Raising the whip high into the air he spun around like a ribbon.

Crack!

Smacking the whip down as hard as he could, CLarenc esplit the wave parting the waters around Ember and himself.

"Hmph not bad for a Cadet" Clarence remarked.

"Heh" Lars said smiling.

As the waters drifted around him, Clarence saw a hand poking out of the water just inches away from Embers position.

"Imm Impossible! The wave was a diversoin! He road the waters and popped out in a sneak attack!"

"Heh" Lars laughed no way you can hit me with the whipp now!" He laughed triumphantly.

Feeling victory within his grasp he reached out for the comic book.

SWOOP!

In an instant, Ember moved out of the way completely avoiding him. She had moved without taking her eyes off the comic.

"How!" LArs said. "THat's imposi..."

As Lars eyes drifted across the ground he saw a long black whip tied around Ember's waste.

"What! WHen did that get there!" He wined.

"It was always there! I can send my ether strands anywhere I'd like, they only become visible after I conentrate them, you should check your waste as well!" Clarence laughed.

"+Looking down, Lars saw the whip wrapped around his waste

"Ahhhh sh-"

Lars was once again dropped onto his backside

As he landed his pants nearly came off as he drifted across the ground.

"Please do your best to keep your pants on!" Clarence laughed. "THere are children around us."

"Damnit!" LArs said fixing his pants "He's way out of my league he isn't even trying! And Ember.. she doesn't look up no matter what! My pants almost fell off.. and still-"

At that moment a lightbulb went of in Lars's head.

"I've got it!" Lars said.

"Take this!" HE yelled throwing another wave of water at Clarence.

"I told you its useless" Clarence said spiltting the waters again" I will just move her away as soon as"

As Clarence spoke he saw a leg come out of the water. Hiis biggest concerned wasn't that Ember was about to be kicked, but rather that the leg had absolutely no pants on it. Coming out of the water in nothing but his underwear Lars screamed loud enough for veryone to hear.

"EMBERRRR!" He screamed.

"Don't Look!" Clarence screamed. "That boy has no shame! Appearing naked like this in front of children!" HE yelled.

"Naked?" Ember thought. For a moment Lars saw a blush appear on her face.

"YES YES LOOK LOOK!!" Lars screamed.

"No one wants to see that!" B laughed. "Put some clothes on before you blind someone Axel!" She laughed.

As B spoke, Embers blush went away and she continued on reading.

"NO!" LArs thought. "I've come this far!"

"You little ingrate!" Clarence yelled. "I'll impale you for that brazen behavior!"

"Wiat a minute" LArs thought. "If she's a comic book fan... than I know the one thing that can stop her from reading!" thought.

"HEy Ember!" LArs yelled. "You can keep the Comic! DC is better than Marvel anyway!"

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!" Ember yelled throwing the comic into the air. "In what universe!"

Back at S.P.A Atlantica, Grant was surrounded by five shifters, each with a ribbon on they S.P.A jackets that read Captain

"Ok, the missoin is to assist the humans with the successful captur eof the Pandora, our pprimary concern however is getting the civilians out of the area! Your Commanding officer Seymour will meet you at the scene is that understood?" Grant asked.

"Yes but ofcaorse" A young man with white hair asked. "But Colonel I have to ask, humans in the badlands fighting? Is there something I am missing here?"The man said.

"Maybe so Wei" Grant said. "But this Order came from the General himself, we will assist the humans and if need be" Grant said sparking a cigar. "I will come along as well."
