Chapter 01 (Prologue)

He did not know what went wrong.

One moment, he was there in the sidewalk minding his own business. The next, the sound of gunshot filled the air. After that all he felt was a rush of pain in his back as he collapsed on his chest.

He did not know how badly he had been wounded, but evidently, it was bad. Really bad.

He didn't had time to register the image of his assailant as his senses gradually began to fade. All he could make out was a strange humming noise that blocked out all other sounds. Then his vision became impaired as everything around him seemed to get brighter and brighter, as though he was staring directly at a quasar.

Suddenly, all the pain vanished.

Did he survive?

No, he hurriedly dismissed that notion for he knew he died as the pain he felt back then was all too real to be a dream nor a hallucination.

It was atypical of him, on how he could be calm, faced with the notion that he died. He knew he should feel dread or pertubed with the knowledge of his death, yet strangely all he could feel was serenity and clarity.

'Is this what it means to be dead? To be free from world notions?' That was all he could attribute his calmness.

'Where am I?' That was his main question as his vision started to return slowly allowing him to see his surroundings for the first time.

He was confused as he found himself standing in the middle of a massive white room and in front of him were three unique vials filled with liquid, each in different colors, floating in mid-air.

Drink.

He didn't know why, but he could feel his entire being yearn for those vials. Like it was saying he would regret it if he didn't drink them.

Before he could realize what was happening, He was already done drinking the last vial, he didn't had time process it as he felt his entire being freeze, his mind became blank as he felt his vision darken as the last thing he remember was how sweet they tasted.
