The monster was caught off guard. They immediately fixated their gazes on the goblins that jumped them while growling.

As both parties take on each other, Zaine took it as an opportunity.

The orc, appearing out of thin air, crashed into the ground with his club, killing monsters upon landing.

Zaine watches from afar as the battle from both parties continues. With the mana bracelet equipped, he could spawn the monster faster.

Hours had passed, and the battle seemed to have gone down. The people inside the safe zone, seeing hope for the first time, decided to help and fight the monster outside.

It was supposed to go for around three hours. After the two and half hours mark, the monsters are getting pushed back. And with the help of civilians, maybe they can do it.

Just as Zaine got his hopes up, another notification showed up.

{Ents incoming}

"There it is, the Ents." Zaine stood on the balcony, watching the giant tree monster, a size of a truck, swinging its roots like arms, creeping slowly towards the safe zone.

The slow movement of the ents allows Zaine to gather supplies back inside the convenience store and take supplies for his fight with the tree monster.

Zaine went inside the mall and asked for some random items.

"Umm, do you have wine and cloth? Can I take some?" Said Zaine to the one in charge of the supplies.

"Yeah, sure. What are you trying to do?" Responded the person.

"Just trust me and watch." Zaine's confidently said to the person.

He ran back to the balcony, only to see the ents still walking. He opened the wine bottles and put the cloth inside with dry cloth still poking outside the bottle. Then he closed the bottle again with the same cork.

As the ents reached close to the barrier, He finished making a Molotov cocktail.

Zaine's summons manages to take the attention of the Ents, making it move slower. The goblins cut through its roots and defeat one of them.

The two remaining Ents continued walking toward the safe zone, with it as the objective. Zaine saw the ents coming close enough to the barrier. As he feels the time is right, he commands his summons to back off and throw the Molotov cocktail toward the two remaining Ents.

It hit one of the ents directly on its body, burning it alive.

The last one manages a last-ditch effort and throws a wooden log at the safe zone. Thankfully, Zaine's summoned Ent blocks it from reaching it. Soon, they overwhelmed the Ent, and it finally finished.

A notification appeared at the three-hour mark, signaling the end of it.

With it completed, Zaine calls back his summons and returns to see Amy to collect his rewards.

"Hello, Amy! Did you record the number of kills that I did?" Said Zaine with anticipation.

"Yes, Zaine, you have the highest amount of kills during the raid, with 74 monsters defeated. Here is your reward, A magical bag infused with space magic. We also included several provisions inside the bag."

"Congratulation once again, and thank you for protecting this safe zone."

As Amy congratulates Zaine, he decides to take up the quest to kill giants.

"Can you keep my identity hidden? Also, I will be taking this quest. Thanks."

Zaine nodded to Amy, thanking her. As people started to crowd the place, searching for the one that protected their safe zone with the ability to summons monsters. The group from before knew about Zaine and went searching for him.

However, Zaine, who did not want his name and appearance to be known by people, decided to run away. Using the black hoodie he acquired, he blends in with the crowd and disappears.

As he leaves the safe zone in the middle of the day, ruins of buildings and traces of blood can be seen all over the battlefield. A sad expression can be seen on Zaine's face as he thinks about the current world.

"Kyuu kyuu.." Albus sees Zaine's sad expression and rubs his face towards Zaine's, trying to cheer him up.

Zaine knows giving up is not the answer, though he never finished HHL, so he might not know some enemies there. He still held his head up and decided to make it his mission to complete the game.
