Hero Vs Harpy

Ami launched herself full speed towards Avis, who barely got out of the way. "Woah, woah, woah, calm down!" Avis said with a nervous smile, quickly pulling out her mic and singing into it to create a few barriers of string, only for them to be cut down with ease by Ami.

"Shut it! Y-You Monster!" She continued shouting, alternating between each sword as she continued swiping at her. Avis quickly used her wings to fly to the ceiling, placing her speaker on a statue of a sword. 

Avis began to hum into the mic, only to let out a squawk as a thrown sword barely grazed her head. "Heh... M-Maybe w-we got off on the wrong foot."

"Y-Y-You wanted t-to fight me? Y-Y-You insulted m-me! Y-Y-You even called me a burden to m-my family! M-M-My family loves me! E-Everyone w-will love me!" She yelled, swinging again, with Avis quickly ducking. "Ami, just chill out a bit. I didn't mean to call you a burden. I'm sure your sister loves you very much."

She froze up at the mention of her sister, that was something even Panila wasn't aware of. "I-I-I never said s-sister? W-What d-d-do you know!? D-Don't insult h-her!" Ami launched 3 swords at once, pinning Avis against the wall, using the fourth to try and cut her face mask. 

"Wait...?" Avis asked with a nervous laugh, trying to free herself, but her jacket being held to the wall prevented her from moving. Ami leaned in close to her face, looking over her jacket.

"W-W-Wait... T-T-That's #-######'s j-j-jacket... S-She'd never leave without it... W-What d-d-did y-you d-do to her?" Ami looked more frightened now, like a more primal fear was consuming her. Avis quickly thought it over in her head of her options, saying with a smirk. 

"Oh? That pretty human? I... Uhm... Killed her!" She laughed, causing Ami to freeze up, the swords fading away as she fell to the floor defeated. Avis almost felt bad, but she figured she'd tell Ami she was alive another time, even if it would be awkward to explain. 

She quickly screeched into her mic, causing the roof of the Church to start collapsing. Avis flew as fast as she can, grabbing her speaker on the way out.

Ami was sat on the ground, crying to herself, wanting her angel to help. Only to be met by the claw of her Decaynine. "Let's go, kid." It said with a smile on its bloodied face, picking her up and leaving the collapsing building.

"I-I-I'll kill t-that bird! I'll d-d-do it!"

A few minutes earlier

Fox burst through the door, quickly running down the empty halls of the church, only to be met with Ami's personal Decaynine, Apex. The hound stared down at Fox with a grin, her rustic dark green fur swaying as a light wind blew from an open window. 

"Long time no see... Dog." She laughed, reaching out a decayed yellow claw out to take off his mask. "I see you still have Red and Blue... Shame about yellow." Apex laughed once more, brushing her claws against her rotted maw.

Fox split Violet back into Red and Blue, having them as dual blades. "Oh? Don't intend to run this time? Then let's play fetch." She let out a low, menacing growl, charging for him. He jumped up, stabbing her in the back and dragging it down, though it failed to stop her movements as she banged her back against a wall. 

"Always a backstabber, huh?" Apex laughed again, grabbing him and throwing him to the floor before kicking him hard, smashing him through a wall. "Aww? What's the matter, you fall down? Haha... DON'T GET UP!" 

Fox motioned a sigh, though clearly injured. He grabbed Red and Blue, having them shift into dual pistols as he ran away, firing at her as she chased after him. "Come on!" She cackled, shrugging off each hit. 

Fox looked around, shifting his mimics into Violet and having them as a war hammer, leaping against a wall and giving Apex a hard knock to the jaw, shattering a few teeth. Though she seemed to thrive off the pain. Instead retaliating with a swipe of her claws, ripping into Fox's mask and damaging it. 

Fox noticed his mask and shot Apex a glare, causing her to back off slightly before laughing. "Aww, you think your little stare will work on me? Newsflash, Foxy. I'm Dead!" She continued laughing, swiping at him repeatedly as he countered by shifting Violet into a sword, the two moving rapidly, trying to find openings. 

Vinea turned a corner, seeing the hole in the wall with Fox and Apex's battle. He slowly backed away, not wanting to get between the two. Apex noticed him and shot a smirk to Fox before chasing after Vinea, who was screaming for his life. "HELP!"

Fox motioned a sigh and bolted after the two, having Violet shift into a high impact grenade launcher and firing it into a wall in front of Vinea, motioning him to jump through the opening to the outside. Just as he did, Violet shifted into a wall, launching Apex backwards. Violet split back into Red and Blue, the two mimics quickly launching themselves back as spears, piercing Apex's abdomen and exploding into a mass of flesh, rending her body up badly. 

She let out a ferocious howl of laughter as she fell to the floor, barely able to move from the damage. She stared up at Fox with a grin. "You're as sharp as before... And just as ugly with your mask on... One day I'll get you." 

Fox motioned a sigh as Red and Blue stuck themselves onto Fox's mask, covering the damaged spots as he left through the hole he created, sparing her to fight another day. After she saw Fox leave, Apex wearily stood up and made her way back to Ami, helping her get out.

"D-D-D-Do you think Panila w-w-will be mad at m-me?" Ami asked as the two were sat inside of her apartment. "No. You still got your heart. Doesn't matter too much." Apex smirked, patching herself up with some old pieces of flesh, a common medical treatment for Decaynines.

Ami sighed and went off to her room, sitting in her bed as she began to cry over the news of her sister. Her angel appeared before her, once again trying to comfort her, this time being accepted.
