Final Escape

Avis stared up in fear, realising how screwed she really was. Panila held a slight smile as she stood against the railings of the canopy. Every prisoner was dead silent, not wanting to disturb their Warden. 

"Won't you give up, Miss Carmen? You and your friends have caused quite the uproar in my city... You have left next to every leader in a broken state thanks to your rabbit. And now. Now you steal from me personally?" She said in a rather quant and friendly tone.

"Y-You're a-a cruel demon or something! W-Why else would you want the hearts?" Avis yelled back trying not to give in. 

"You... You have no idea what your doing in all this, do you? You were dragged off the street and into this whole mess on complete accident, yet you still play along with everyone's game. I get that. I truly do." She sighed, walking along as chains dragged behind her. Before Avis could speak, Panila put out a hand.

"I will offer you this once. Give the hearts to me and you, the vine child and the centipede will remain free. No record of your involvement will stay. If you don't? Well... I'LL FLAY YOU ALIVE."

Avis froze up at the words before shaking her head. "I-I'll have to decline. I'm saving my friend no matter what happens." She outstretched her wings as everything began to shake. "HERE WE GO!" She yelled in a more demonic fury filled voice as the lights flickered again, the sounds of chains being a deafening rumble. As the lights swayed, Panila's form looked different.

She looked taller, her hair growing into a more overflowing mane as her eyes still remained as covered as ever. Her suit began to rip as her usually pale skin became adorned with patches of red scales. The small slits on her mouth opened slightly, revealing rows of sharp teeth. Her hands grew into gigantic chained claws as she pulled out a pen from her pocket, wrapping it in chains before stabbing it into her heart and pulling out a blood forged scythe.

Avis stared in horror, quickly activating her phoenix form and flying down the hall. She turned behind to hear a manic laughter as another swirling vortex of chains could be seen, though this time catching up much quicker. Suddenly, chains burst through the walls. Avis squawked in suprise, weaving through them and turning a corner.

Panila laughed summoning more chains, each bursting through the walls of Detainment like a pencil through paper. Avis began making her way down the building each floor being covered in more and more chains. As soon as Avis reached a window, she tried to fly out of it, only to be met by another vortex of chains, dragging her inside and into somewhere else.

She was dragged into a hell-scape with balls of chains covered in blood that dripped down into a sea of nothingness, her only path was a road made of blood like stones. She continued flying at full speed though, 7 looming eyes in the sky above her as another laugh was heard. She turned behind to see Panila now floating towards her quickly, hand outstretched ready to grab her. "OHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCK!" Avis yelled to herself, pushing her body to the limits. 

It was like a timer was ticking down as Panila got closer and closer, her form growing and growing until Avis was about to be grabbed. "Let me help." Tid-Bit said with a smile, appearing in front of Avis. Before she could react, Tid-Bit created a digital construct of chains and made an exit gate for her, barely getting through before Panila could grab her. 

Avis tumbled to the ground, a bit winded but shot up, giving Tid-bit a slight nod in thanks as she disappeared. Panila soon emerged once again, slicing into the real world with her scythe. "GET BACK HERE!" She yelled, causing Avis to fly off again.

Avis was now on about 4 floors lower then before, she just needed to get lower. She began hearing the prisoners of Detainment begin to chant like a church choir as she dodged more chains, like Panila had full control over Detainment.

Avis was still weaving chains, doing a barrel roll to evade. She glanced out of a window to see Vinea wave to her and motion to reach the end of the hall she was in. Finally, she was going to escape reached an idea spot, using her speaker combined with a few phoenix feathers to burst open a hole. Panila was right behind as she saw Avis's form return to her usual harpy form from exhaustion. 

As Avis flew out of the hole and towards the open door of the limo with an excited and hopeful smile, Panila summoned thousands of chains at once, wrapping them over Avis's wings and one of her arms to hold her back. "Did you think it would be this easy?" She growled, yanking her back. Vinea quickly shot out a vine and grabbed Avis's hand. "I ain't letting you go!"

She felt the splitting force of the chains pulling and Vinea's vine with everyone tugging, it was excruciating pain for her. Until, finally, there was an audible

*CRUNCH*

Avis's left arm and wings had been ripped from her body, Vinea's vine had broken off as well, resulting in Avis plummeting to the ground. Everyone froze up except Panila, who jumped down intending to finish this once and for all.

For Avis, time felt as though it had slowed to a crawl. She began thinking back on her life, questioning every little decision. "Why did I go with Ven? Why did I accept the gig for Rat? Why did I even move here? I guess it was..."

Before she could make her last thought, Panila grabbed her with chains, dragging her across the walls of Detainment. "I wouldn't let you die so painlessly." She cackled, slamming her head violently to the cold concrete of the tower.

Avis was feeling the pain of blood loss, the sorrow over her life and worse of all, letting every down. She didn't know what to do, until she made a final gambit. As Panila moved her chains away to reposition them for a gruesome finisher, Avis grabbed Tid-Bit's heart and forced it into the speaker, creating a pair of large speaker wings for herself. 

"WHAT!?" Panila yelled out in frustration, trying to chase after her, but was quickly shot in the eye by Fox, stopping her for a moment as Tid-Bit guided the wings onto the limo's roof, outstretching tendrils to fuse the sub-minds to the the car and upgrade it on the fly. Vex let go of the controls as Tid-Bit began driving them away at full speed, using Tendrils to hold Avis still and slow her bleeding.

Panila was trying her best to keep up only to see Avis smirk, singing into her mic. "I... Escaped... Detainment...Bitch..."

Panila tried one more try and grabbing the car, only to barely miss. She let out aloud, deafening screech in rage. Soon flying back to Detainment upon realising she'd lost.
