THE CABENARO HEIR REVEALED

It was another beautiful weekend in Sterling city and Team QuickBae decided that they would have an office sanitation. Though Smart's lab was now technologically advanced and had machines that could easily help with the cleaning, they decided to catch up more and bond in the act of cleaning. Kayleb and Hafsat seemed to be bonding especially the most and Aeres couldn't help but feel envious. Kayleb then walked up to Aeres;

Kayleb: Hey Aeres, thank you so much for agreeing to let Hafsat stay in your home. It really means a lot to me

Aeres: Sure Kayleb, it was the least I could do. I have been meaning to tell you something though!

Kayleb: Sure, what is it?

Aeres: That day, when you and Alternate had your last encounter, I said something to you when he had me and Ali hostage. Do you remember?

Kayleb: (looking confused) Hmm, I am sorry but I can't seem to remember anything you might have said. You know, I can't still remember a lot of stuff that happened that day

Aeres: (looking down) I see!

Kayleb: But I am all ears now. What was it that you said to me?

Aeres: Well, what I said was....

As Aeres was about opening up to Kayleb about how she truly felt, Hafsat interrupted their conversation;

Hafsat: Hey Kayleb, I'm through now. Shall we go for our lunch date?

Hafsat then noticed that Kayleb and Aeres were having a conversation;

Hafsat: Oh sorry, I hope I didn't interrupt anything serious

Aeres: Not at all. Don't worry Kayleb; what I have to say can wait. You should go with her

Kayleb: Are you sure? Because it sounded like you wanted to say something very important

Aeres: Nah, it's not all that important. Come on, Hafsat is waiting for you (putting on a fake smile on her face)

Kayleb: Thanks Aeres, you are an amazing friend

Kayleb and Hafsat then turned and went out together. Aeres's mood turned dull again and she went to Smart Lab's balcony on the last floor to receive some fresh air. While she was up there, Ali walked up to her;

Aeres: (trying to hide her tears) Ali! I didn't see you there. What's up?!

Ali: It hurts, doesn't it?

Aeres: What are you taking about?

Ali: I am sorry but I listened in on you and Kayleb's conversation earlier. He doesn't remember that you confessed your feelings towards him, right!

Aeres then nodded her head and tears rolled down her cheeks even more. She then wiped them off and spoke up this time;

Aeres: And now, he really seems interested in Hafsat. And I know for a fact that Hafsat is interested in him as well

Ali: All the more reason why you should tell him now how you truly feel before it's too late

Aeres: Nah, that wouldn't be right. I can't get in between them now. I guess I will just have to let my feelings die

Ali: But…..

Aeres didn't allow Ali to finish the point he was trying to make when she left the balcony. Ali then followed in afterwards and they went back to their base. When they got there, they were surprised to see Kent Norman;

Ali: Kent! What are you doing here?

Kent: It's nice to see you all again Team QuickBae but I am afraid I need your help yet again

Kayleb and Hafsat then walked into the Base;

Kayleb: What happened guys, I got the distress signal you sent and....Kent! Is that you?!

Kent: (In shock) Kayleb! But how did you...

Dr Smart: (Interrupting) Long story but I will try to make it short. You see Kayleb actually didn't die after he faced Alternate. He was transported to another land where he was enslaved and his abilities were suppressed. But we found and rescued him and now, he is back

Kent: That's relieving to hear. It's good to see you again, Kayleb

Kayleb: Likewise Kent. So what brings you here?

Presh: Sorry Kayleb to disturb your afternoon, but I sent the distress signal to you. Apparently, Kent needs our help again

Kent: You guys remember TP-29 right?!

Kayleb: You mean that guy we helped you beat that time...that one than can acidify and melt stuff?!

Kent: Exactly! Well, he escaped from our containment unit a few days back and I am sure he found his way back somehow to Topia

Ali: What!

Kent: Yeah. And yesterday, I got a message from one of my Topian rival by the name TP-28, who apparently was close to TP-29; saying that he was coming for all of us who hurt TP-29

Kayleb: That means he is coming for us all, am I right?!

Kent: I am afraid so. I would have said that I would handle this alone but I hacked into the Topian systems to access this TP- 28 guy and from what I gathered, he is quite strong. He is way older than TP-29 and much more experienced, not to mention that he has the abilities to break down the molecular structure of any matter, including the human body and cells

Presh: So that means, if he uses his ability against a human, he will disintegrate them instantly. Am I right?

Kent: Affirmative

Ali: This guy is bad news. We need to prepare because he can come at any time for us all

Kent: That's why I came here, to warn you all and join forces to stop this Topian. My guess is; he will track us all here, in Sterling city. So I will need.....(now staring at Hafsat's hand noticing a scar-like mark)

Hafsat: (feeling awkward after realizing that Kent is staring at her) Oh sorry, you don't know who I am do you? My name is Hafsat and I am the newest member of team QuickBae

Kent: My name is Kent Norman, also known as SuperKid. That mark on your hand, how long have you had it?

Hafsat: (now raising her hand for all to see) Oh you mean this mark? I have always had it for as long as I can remember

Kent: I have only seen that mark on one specific set of people, the Cabenaros

Dr Smart: You don't say!

Kayleb: Cabenaros, what's that?

Dr Smart: Well the Cabenaros are known to be the best Vigilantes of all time. They are specialized with the ability to aim accurately without missing their targets, very proficient in hand-to-hand combat and are masters of weapon usage

Ali: Whoa, so they are like Batman?!

Kent: Not exactly, they are more of Vigilantes than heroes. But some of them are classified as heroes either way. They also have this serious side to them that pisses me off

Presh: That means you know of her kind, Kent?!

Kent: Yeah I do. In fact, they are very close friends to the Topians. I had a best friend while growing up who was a Cabenaro, even before I realized that I was a Topian

Hafsat: Okay, you guys were friends. That doesn't prove that I am a Cabenaro as well

Kent: That birthmark is proof enough. You see, only the Cabenaros have that specific rose-shape mark on any part of their body which is passed down from Parent to off spring

Kayleb: That explains how you were able to use the revolver back at X's territory so accurately even though you told me that you have never used a gun before, Hafsat!

Hafsat: I never really thought of it that way

Dr Smart: According to what I heard, a Cabenaro heir was born twenty two years ago but was kidnapped from her birth town and was never heard off again. That heir could be you Hafsat and maybe X's men had a hand in your kidnap as an infant. That must be why you don't remember anything about your family.

That's because, just like Kayleb, they might have messed up with your memory as well. Plus you were just an infant

Kent: Exactly, and if that heir is you, then you must return to Gratz city which is your hometown and reclaim it as the surviving heir of the Cabenaros. You must also be its hero and save the citizens when they are in danger

Hafsat: But I don't know how to use my so called skills at will. I just happened to use it that one time because Kayleb and the others were in danger. I mean, I had to do something

Kent: Don't worry, you will be trained and taken care of well when you get back to your city. It's not too far from Stanbic city; so I don't mind taking you along with me when I am going back

Hafsat: But, but, this is all so sudden! I mean...…

Kayleb: Hafsat, this is what you have always wanted, is it not?! You get the chance to go back to your hometown and meet your family. At least, think about it before you make any hasty decisions

Hafsat: Okay. I will make my decision after we have beaten this TP-28 guy

Kent: Sounds good to me

Just then, Kent sensed that TP-28 was approaching the borders of Sterling city and fast. He then alerted team QuickBae and they got ready to face him. Aeres, Hafsat and Dr Smart stayed behind in the base to help team QuickBae from there. Ali, Presh, TeeKay and Kayleb then suited up and went ahead with SuperKid towards the location of TP-28. Kayleb had an even better suit that was made for him in his absence, courtesy of Dr Smart and Ali who were the geniuses of all the heroe's suit in Team QuickBae. Dr Smart also didn't hire any more employees in Smart Lab, so it was just Team QuickBae. In no time, Kayleb was back in action as QuickBae.

Team QuickBae including SuperKid arrived coincidentally with TP-28 on a deserted land close to Sterling city's river in Norway route {a route in Sterling City}. The rivals then faced each other;

TP-28: So you all are the brats who tortured my friend, are you not?!

SuperKid: That would be me

TP-28: Ah, SuperKid! I have heard so much about you. You are my main target after all. You know, my leader needs you for your special gene and that's why he sent me to come retrieve you. But for me, it's personal because of what you did to TP-29. I will surely make you pay for that!

Kayleb: You will just have to make us all pay then, because we will be fighting you as a team

TP-28: (smiling) doesn't make a difference to me either way!

After saying this, TP-28's hands started glowing and accumulating energy which he shot at Team QuickBae. All team QuickBae members dodged his attack and the energy hit a ship nearby at the river bank of the river, disintegrating it immediately;

Kayleb: Guys, that's the move SuperKid told us about. It's fast but don't let it hit you, at all cost

Team QuickBae nodded their heads in affirmative and then SuperKid, dashed from his spot and appeared behind TP-28, throwing a supersonic punch. But TP-28 was fast enough and caught SuperKid's hand;

TP-28: I know my blasts have no effects on you, SuperKid. But like I told you earlier.....I will surely make you hurt!

After saying this, TP-28 punched SuperKid hard on his belle and the impact, pushed him backwards through ten parallel walls.

QuickBae and Kid Bae then started running towards TP-28 at super speed, intertwining with one another to confuse TP-28. This worked and both of them were landing serious hits on TP-28. Killer Freeze then started shooting ice popsicles at TP-28 and Le Vibe shot vibrational energy from his hands to TP-28's stomach which had quite the impact on his internal organs as it penetrated through. But none of these seemed to be enough to put down TP-28. TP-28 then angrily used his hand to hit the ground, creating a shockwave which scattered Team QuickBae. SuperKid then dashed in front of TP- 28 and punches continued being thrown at each other. TP-28 dodged all of SuperKid's punches but SuperKid couldn't do the same for TP-28. Then, TP-28 landed a heavy punch on SuperKid and that pushed him back with a great amount of force. But before SuperKid landed, TP-28 grabbed SuperKid again by the head and shoved it down the hard surface of the ground. He then dragged it all the way to the other side of the road. After that, he threw SuperKid to another corner of the road. Kayleb then jumped out of no way and started throwing fast supersonic punches at TP-28 as well but surprisingly, TP-28 could keep up with Kayleb's speed. TP-28 then dodged one of QuickBae's punches and in doing so, kicked QuickBae hard on his Pelvis. Then he threw QuickBae to another corner of the road. TeeKay, Ali and Presh on the other hand, continued launching simultaneous attacks but all was futile as TP-28 beat each and every single one of them. TP-28 was just too strong, agile and fast for Team QuickBae and SuperKid to handle. The battle seemed over and quick as well; with TP-28 winning.
