He didn't want to be too heavy on this woman as he found her appearance appealing, he'd just punish her enough to force her into submission

While the office of Shen Rui seemed tense and abhorrant, on the other end of the city, Tang Ling's home can be said to exhude carefreeness with a touch of lazyness all over

A few days has passed since the incident on the banquet, the effect of the hot search became not as harsh as either Li Qing or Tang Ling expected, although the number of requests to film are less, the company didn't face direct pressure from the Shen Conglomerate

She wasn't sure whether it seem to be from pride or not, but the male lead chose to not suppress her company or others from interacting with her

She didn't know that the male lead may have had a small little change of heart from the plot due to her unparalelled looks

If she had known Tang Ling would only think disdainfully of his neuroticism

After reluctantly exiting the app, she looked towards the call screen

The caller ID set for the person calling was Scumbag Father

She had almost forgot that this body had family members of her own

Why did the body's parents called all of a sudden?

Tang Ling took a few seconds to retrieve the original owner's memory of this parent from the sporadic bits of memory left from the original owner's remnant soul

The confusion she had on her face eventually changed to a more disdainful sneer as she recalled who this so called scumbag father was and what he had done for 'Tang Ling'

The memory of this father was anything but pleasant for the original body, it can even be said to be disgusting

All the love of her parents had been given directly towards her brother, with only secondary thoughts for tehir daughter

She was told to become a virtuous generous wife of a powerful man that could help with her little brother's future and be a support pillar

They never expected nore suported any future ambitions that Tang Ling developed as she grew

Even at the time of Tang Ling's debut into the entertainment circle, all her parents did was admonish and spurned her as a shameless sl*t and showgirl that woudl ruin their belove son's reputation

Tang Ling, reading through the provacitive remarks and malicious insults told by her parents really made her contemptuous of the parents she had yet to meet

Treating their daughter as a tool to use whenever they see fit, an independent 'strong' woman like Tang ling would never get along with these type of people

Pressing, the answer button on her phone, Tang Ling answered indifferently

"Hello?"

"Stinky girl! You still know to answer the phone! Do-.."

Hearing an insult after answering, Tang Ling immediately ended the call and relaunched the previous game she had been playing as if nothing ever happened

As she loaded back the game to her phone, a few seconds of playing past before the same 'Scumbag father' is shown on the screen once again

"Tang Ling! How dare you hang up on me!" the angry voice of Father Tang resounded through the phone

"I'm sorry, I heard insults over the call and thought somebody was stealing the number of my father and trying to prank call" Tang Ling said with no emotion "Sorry father, If I had known my father never knew the proper etiquette to greeting someone, I wouldn't have hanged up"

"I would reccomend you an etiquette teacher"

Trying to yell at herself after you called, Tang Ling wouldn't stand for that, even if they were her parents, she wasn't a soft permisson

She faced dozens of shrews who didn't repesct her, and the originals parents weren't given any special treatment compared to them

After hearing Tang Ling's reply, the supposed father of the original owner was choked, his daughter seemed to become more poisonous after staying in the entertainment industry

"Rotten child, is this how you speak to your parents!"

"Is there anything I can do for you?" Tang Ling questioned, ignoring his previos words

"Your brother needs money for his tuition, Did you forget about your family after you became famous!? Send us the money by tommorow"

"Why should I pay for his tuition?" Tang Ling questioned

"He's your brother!" Father Tang reprimanded self righteously with anger blatantly seen in his voice "As our daughter it is your duty to support us and your brother"

Tang Ling laughed angrily and repeated what Father Tang just said "My duty?"

"We raised you from the little money we had left, do you know how hard it was for us? Now it is time to repay our efforts and contibute towards teh family and your brother's future" Father Tang said rightously without any sense of shame whatsoever

Tang Ling felt this rhetoric was really the thought process of the mentally ill

Since she was given birth to, and raised by her family, everything she has should belong to them? Have they never though of their daughter as her own indiviual?

Why? Just because she wasn't born male?

What would be the difference between a being their child and a slave? She didn't ask to be born to them, and a slave didn't ask to be enslaved

Who gave them the right to be the controllers of others life by just being the result of them mating like animals?

It made sense for the original owner to label her father as scumbag, Tang Ling herself felt that this title had been appropriate for this type of parent

"Am I not your daughter too, why would my brother need my support?"

"Hmph! Is it the same?" Father Tang snorted in disdain "A daughter should be obedient to her parents and give herself up to support the brothers and husband throughout their lives. Since you have decided not to be married, and you have gained success, it's only natural for the family to be your priority"
