looking up (jay)

The next day was a Sunday and everyone fancied to take a day off, so as soon as I woke up, I headed straight to the lounge to access the computer before anyone else could get there. Almost everyone was there, Even Cat who usually spent most of her time in the lab these days.

When Thia came in, she sat on the arm of the sofa since it was almost full and started playing that strategy game she'd found the other day. She was so small and skinny that both her legs could fit up on the arm in front of her

"Its surprising how much you can actually learn from games like those." Commented Brain.

What's surprising is that that she seems to be getting better.

I made a mental note that when I was done with this, I'd get that same game so I could challenge her. After typing in what I was looking for I kept glancing back her way, not really wanting her to know what I was doing just yet. After finding their official website I started reading through to see what it was actually about. It seemed like a pretty decent holiday spot for children, probably somewhere between Blackpool and Disney world. I started to realise why Thia had always wanted to go there. Of course, she would love places like these. But I was only really skimming. Scrolling down I found their schedules and looked to see what there were doing when and what you could get done in a day. Slowly I started nodding. This is perfect.

Looking back at Thia I thought that, now that I'd pretty much found out everything I wanted to know, now was probably the best time to let her know.

"Hey. Come check this."

She got up but stopped when she saw what I had open on the computer.

"Oh no, Jay."

"What? You said I could look it up if I wanted. Just come look, I've found the perfect one."

She still seemed cautious but gave it a look all the same. I could tell she was tempted.

"Ya see? They got a Hogwarts Express, two roller-coasters; a Hogsmeade, with a Three Broomsticks, a Honey Dukes sweet shop and a souvenir shop. And there's a new movie theatre there now, with…and get this…viewings of the last four of the Harry Potter movies! fifth and sixth in the morning. seventh and eighth in the evening."

"Seventh and eighth?" that seemed to confuse her.

"No, not seventh and eighth." Cat explained. "Seventh and seven part two."

"Oh. That makes more since."

"Why?"

"Because there are only seven books."

"You haven't seen those ones, yet have you?" Zee asked Thia.

"I…haven't even seen the fourth one. But I've read all the books."

"Well no spoilers for those of us who haven't."

She giggled at that. "I'll do my best."

"You might find a lot of it is actually different from the books." Cat warned.

"Have you seen them?" Thia asked.

She nodded "Yes, I saw them…a long time ago."

It was no small secret that Cattily Maggie was actually a lot older than she looked.

"You'd have to get up really early if you want to make it there in time to catch the ones in the morning." Sky pointed out.

For a moment Thia looked down, then looking at the doorway she saw something that made her smile. "I'm willing to pay that price."
