Conflict In The City

''Sorry I didn't make adequate preparations for our stay here. But this will have to do until we reach our next stop after the competition.'' Dante V2 said apologetically towards Mia not forgetting to keep up appearances.

He needs to keep building up expectations and increasing the quality of life for Mia until she can't extricate herself. After all, even with the Aura of Heaven it would take Mia many years to live a comfortable life if ever.

So if Dante V2 can make her so hooked that she is willing to convert to a puppet or willing to follow Dante V2 it would be countless times easier to make her into a puppet. The Aura of Heaven is only an accessory to the person.

If they aren't willing to resist then the Aura of Heaven won't resist much. And even if they are just slightly doubting it, it could make it countless times easier to make them into a puppet.

Of course, Dante V2 could also just wait until his strength gets stronger, but who knows how long that might take.

Following their landing, Dante V2 took Mia out shopping all around the county. San on the other hand returned to the training room and didn't even talk to Dante V2.

Walking down the street Dante V2 led Mia into the largest commercial store in the city. It was ran by some Chamber of Commerce from nearby and had all the available products in the city.

Mia looked at the racks or rare items with her mouth agape. In her previous county she wasn't even qualified to come into contact with these things. But Dantes next words shocked her.

''Pick anything you wan't, I'll purchase it for you. Take it as a gift for accompanying me on this journey.'' Dante V2 said as if it was nothing. Which it really was to him. After all, he was left with hundreds of thousands of heavenly notes.

Let me give you a quick overview. An ordinary Fairy State Cultivator might have one Heavenly Note, a Spirit State might have ten or twenty, while an Ancient might have a few hundred.

Most Saints are part of a force but if not they would generally have a few thousand while Antiques have much more, most likely hundreds of thousands or millions.

Of course if they are in charge of a force, they might have much much more than that, however you also have to provide the expenses for that force. So the actual usable amount would be about the same for their own individual use.

But if you take the auction that Dante participated in a while ago, that was different. Those things were purchased by the forces in the area rather than single cultivators. So naturally the prices were drastically more expensive.

And things in this shop cost a minimum of one heavenly note. That's the same as a Fairy States net worth! Even Mias old Spirit State family only had a total networth of 20 Heavenly Currency.

But now Dante V2 was telling her that she could purchase anything she wanted in here. How could she bypass this chance. With Dante V2s go ahead she ran around the store accompanied by many Core Building Maid Servants and ten Fairy State Bodyguards. She even had one Spirit State guard standing next to her.

The other guests saw this and knowingly avoided her trail. After all, someone with that line up naturally doesn't come from a simple background. Not to mention she was picking up things worth dozens of heavenly notes without blinking.

Anything Mia saw that she thought was interesting she picked up. It might be a sword lying on a counter or a cute pink necklace with the ability to nourish the body. Various treasures were purchased by the Spirit State Guard beside her.

Within an hour she had already spent a thousand Heavenly Spirit Notes in various shops. If it wasn't for Dantes strong background and receiving the notes from the Antiques inheritance, Dante V2 might not be able to fund the girls shopping.

Mia finally stopped another hour later. But she had only stopped moving, not shopping. The reason why she stopped was because she saw an adorable little pendant hanging off of the neck of a little girl.

Originally people chosen by the Aura of Heaven are meant to be purer than normal people, but even within a week of living a lavish lifestyle and having complete control over powerful cultivators, Mia had developed a superiority complex.

It might seem quick, but it really isn't. Imagine if you were suddenly able to command the entire world at your fingertips. That's how Mia felt, she could determine the lives of millions of people if she simply ordered one of her servants to kill someone.

So as soon as she saw the cute little pink sheep pendant hanging off this girl's neck she knew she wanted it. And based on her sight, the little girl was no more than 5, with no guards around her.

''Hey you! I want that pendant around your neck, name a price.'' Mia walked over to the girl with her beautiful nose up in the air. The scar had long since been healed on her face revealing her originally peerless face.

Unfortunately the charming aura was ruined by the spoiled attitude.

The child glanced up at Mia and clutched the pendant in her hands. Her eyes were ice cold making Mia think she had fallen into a cellar. Despite the little girl's cute face her attitude was completely different.

Mias shout also drew Dante V2s attention, he looked over towards the girl and couldn't help but feel thankful that the Chaos Eyes are more of an ability rather than a physique. It is connected with both of his souls so his Puppet Clones can use it too.

Dante V2 saw a vicious silver aura floating around the girl. Naturally it is the Aura of Earth. But what confused him was that the girl didn't seem to have any special background based on her clothes and having no guards.

But Dante V2 immediately thought of a plan involving Dante V3.

''Scram before I get angry.'' Before Dante could finish his thought, the girl turned and muttered towards Mia.

''What? You think you can keep something I want? You deal with her.'' Mia didn't take the news well, immediately pointing at a fairy state guard behind her to deal with the child.

The guard naturally heeded instructions and burst out towards the child. Unfortunately things naturally wouldn't be that easy to deal with.

As soon as the guard stretched his hand out the child seemed to disappear from everyone's vision. Of course everyone except Dante V2s Chaos Eyes and his Ancient Guards. The girl actually ripped a small talisman in her hand and her speed increased massively, equal to the lower ranks of a Spirit State cultivator.

The area she ran towards was the slums of the city.
