CHAPTER-5

Even with the darkness hindering one's vision, Long Xue had no problem seeing. To him, everything was clearly detailed.

Why is everything so bright at night? What's wrong with my eyes?

Suddenly, Long Xue felt his body get lighter as his legs started to move faster with his eyes zooming in on the oncoming trees of the forest. Calculating his movements, he was able to dodged the trees with more accuracy and precision while the beast just kept smashing into the trees, not caring about the damages it had done to itself.

Long Xue picked up speed, creating a little gap between him and the beast. The beast frowned as it noticed his target was slowly slipping away from its grasp. The beast grew a new pair of arms from its back and grabbed a fallen tree on the ground.

Using its teeth to cut off the tree branches filled with leaves, it made use of its claws to sharpen the edge and split it into three sharpened logs. The beast threw the first log at Long Xue, but the boy dodged it like it was nothing. The beast threw the second log at the boy, but once again, the boy dodged, leaving the log plunging into the roots of a tall standing dead tree.

"Raaaraaaa!" The beast gnashed its teeth in anger as it threw the last log.

Long Xue turned around and faced the log coming his way. He gave the log a backhand, and it changed its direction from the him to the beast. The shadow beast widened its eyes in bewilderment. It managed to remove its head from the log's line of projection as the log smashed it's shoulder and bounced into the air.

The beast let out a growl of pain, and began running on all six wanting to kill the boy than ever! Long Xue picked up a stone and threw it at the tall standing dead tree, and due to the fact that it's root had been penetrated by the log, its stamina had depleted. The tree getting it by the stone, had no choice, but to fall to the ground.

As the tree fell, Long Xue ran on it and skyrocketed himself into the air! The beast was surprised at this boy's sudden burst of power, but it knew that it had to catch Long Xue anyway. The beast too, launched itself into the air.

From where he was, Long Xue could see the vast expanse of the trees the forest had to offer. Too bad though, majority of those forest parts had been dominated by the Yin sect. Turning back to face Liliang market, Long Xue felt like something was going on there, something he had to fix.

"Raaa!" The abrupt growl caught Long Xue's attention as he spotted the shadow beast moving towards him.

"I've had enough of you!"

Qi began to converge on his fingers as he slowly raised his hands, "Separatrix!"

Separatrix, a skill that could only be utilized by those who had surpassed the level of a fifth level practitioner was capable of cutting anything. The power of the separatrix would vary according to the power of the cultivator.

Can I do it? If I can, it means that I'm not longer a second level practitioner!

Long Xue had no idea why he chose to use this skill, but for some reasons, he felt that he was capable of doing it.

Just as he made a slash, a bright yellow beam in shape of a cresent shot out of his palm and separated the shadow beast into two! The shadow beast explode in the air as Long Xue fell back to the ground, landing on his feet.

After doing such a high level skill, Long Xue should've been exhausted, but he wasn't. Infact, he had never been so calm in his entire life! Closing his eyes Long Xue took deep breaths before running back to the market.

Long Qiao watched as his friend Ji Zhao raise his sickle into the air, "This is called the Sickle of Hunger, for it craves for the qi of friends who steal their friend's girl."

"Do you really have to do this?" Long Qiao asked as his breathing began to faint.

"Yes, that way, no one will be with my Ahli! My Feifei!"

Just as Ji Zhao was about to strike, a wooden log fell from the sky and pierced into his heart.

"Oh no..." He uttered before disappearing into thin air.

Long Qiao looked behind him and spotted a man in white robe walking towards him. He mumbled softly, "Long Xue..." Before his eyes fell shut.

Long Zhi walked towards the man and knelt down, "Father..."

"Father!" Another voice boomed out as Long Xue ran to the scene. "What happened him?"

"He was attacked by a member of the Yin sect." Long Zhi replied.

Long Xue sobbed, "Can you help him? I promise I'll do anything you ask."

"You promise?" Long Zhi stared at the boy as he nodded eagerly, "I can save him, but, remember you must keep your promise."

Long Zhi retrieved a dagger from his robe and cut his wrist with it. He then placed the dagger above Long Qiao's face. The blood on the dagger slowly ran from the edge of the balde to the tip before finally dropping into Long Qiao's mouth.

"He hasn't woken up yet." Long Xue stared at his father's eyes, wanting them to open anytime soon.

Long Zhi shook his head with a sigh, "He would be fine, I promise. For your promise..."

Long Xue looked at Long Zhi wondering what the man would want from a 10 year old kid.

"I want you to come with me." Long Zhi continued. "Make sure you bring your essentials with you, because it might take a while before we finish what we're about to do."

"Why should I do as you say?" Long Xue asked as he frowned a little.

"You promised, and also because I'm going to teach you," Long Zhi smiled, "you're a talented kid."

"Wait! So you mean you're going to teach me cultivation?" Long Xue's eyes widened in excitement.

"Yes." Long Zhi nodded as he patted the boy's head.

"My father might not allow me to leave after what happened tonight." Long Xue replied with a sad tone.

Long Zhi laughed, "Just tell him this, note, you have to say exactly what I say. 'The time has come, Long Zhi has been reborn in me, and I must prepare for the battle that is to come'."

"Okay." Long Xue nodded as he glanced at his father. "How will I take him home?"

"Goodnight, Long Xue." Long Zhi answered.

"Huh?" Long Xue asked just as Long Zhi's struck his neck, instantaneously putting him to sleep.

"The Order shivered in fear because they knew that they had picked up a fight with the wrong person.

The maiden glared at them as her anger began rise.

This innocent girl wasn't just a maiden, she was the second daughter of the Yin Lord, Yin Zhen!

She was angry because they hadn't been able to recognize her when she wasn't herself. The Princess Yin Zhen was born with a mental disorder called the split personality, having two minds in one body. Normally, people develop mental disorders, but Yin Zhen was born with one.

Her other personality was named Yin Yi, and she was completely the opposite of Yin Zhen. Yin Zhen was evil and ruthless, whereas, Yin Yi was good and pure.

Yin Yi believed that she lived with her grandmother and that she was the only daughter of her family.

Having no memory of her other self, she formed a life of her own, one which she could live without having to worry about anything else.

Yin Zhen was the Yin Lord's daughter and also the leader of an assassin group called the Elimi. Just as it consist of five letters, the Elimi squad also consist of five members.

The first member, Yin Zhen, the daughter of the Yin Lord, was the deadliest member of the Elimi. Her ability to switch emotions sometimes made her targets underestimate her which later led to their downfalls.

The second member, Hanger. No one knows his real name, no one knows his real face. Hanger was born with a rare ability which allows him to copy any face he sees. He uses acupuncture needles for his targets, killing them without breaking a sweat.

The third member, Su Yin, usually called the Red sword. Su Yin is another dangerous member of the Elimi! She is known to kill for for fun. Rumours even say that she is responsible for the death of over 200 people around the globe. Her weapon is a red sword painted with the blood of her victims.

The fourth member is Hui San, the trickster. Hui San goes into homes of families, stays in their home as a worker for a while, and then gains the trust of the household before killing them. He is said to be a dangerous member because no one has seen his weapon, and no one knows how he actually kills his target."
