Nearly a full bell later, the Summoner finally stopped and rose, cuddling his imp as he returned to Kristof and bowed. Kristof hid a flinch when the Summoner's close proximity prickled sharply along his skin. The dulling effects of the tea were nearly gone, then. "Your grace, it would seem a minor demon did in fact slip through. I apologize I did not catch that before."
"Demons excel at being missed when they want," Kristof replied. "Can you recall it?"
"Yes, but I do not think it would be safe to do it here. With your permission I will return to town and set to work."
"Permission granted. Lieutenant, appoint him protection. Geomancer, what have you learned?"
"I can find no trace of the necromancer, Your Grace. I'm sorry."
