84. A kid and his guardian

Mo Ling's gaze turned determined when she looked at the bitter expression on Kevin's face.

"Don't worry. They can't touch a single hair on you. I'll make sure of that." She said with such strength that if one listened to her words they might sleep without worry at night.

When Bi Yuhan listened to the boy's words and saw that determined look, he knew that he couldn't hold him back.

Because that's the real him, a little wilful and wild. Rebellious and independent to the core.

Now he was sure that the kid was related to the Smith family of Red Nation. 

Seeing that the boy didn't conceal anything while talking about his matters or plans before him, he felt that he was on cloud nine.

Trust is the base foundation for any relationship.

And for him, it's very crucial to make the boy trust him. He wants far more than that, but he's not in a hurry. He can progress with little baby steps one at a time.

But then those words.. they're are directed at Kevin!!

How can he not be jealous that the kid was showing his protectiveness towards another man!

Kevin, on the other hand, was stunned when he heard her words.

Then the bitterness in his heart was replaced with warmth and heartache.

The girl is just a teenager. The age where they have to be carefree, fall in love and enjoy the pampering and dotting life given by their families.

But here she is, disguising as a boy, always on tender hooks leading a cautious life hiding in some unrelated family.

Now, she's even swearing to protect him with such strength in her voice. She's bearing a heavy load of responsibility on her slender shoulders.

He wanted to ask her if it is hard to carry that weight. He wanted to ask her if she has any dreams for herself.

He wondered if she slept peacefully all these years.

While thinking all of that and the words she uttered to reassure him made his eyes turn red.

He lowered her head to compose himself. Then took the foldable file placed on the table before him before rolling it and knocking on the girl's head.

"Look after yourself first. How dare you lie and follow me to the capital university?" He berated her while knocking the file on her head.

"If you weren't weak why would he follow you to protect you?" Bi Yuhan snached the rolled up file instantly and glared at Kevin with his angry eyes.

"You should thank him first. Otherwise we would have to pay respects to your photo by now." Bi Yuhan continued his scolding, making Kevin speechless.

When Mo Ling got knocked on her head for no reason she was shocked at first and then the bad feelings she felt towards her cousin disappeared into thin air.

'This guy didn't change at all. He's as annoying as ever.' She thought to herself irritably. 

And then she heard Bi Yuhan's arguments towards Kevin and felt smug when he turned speechless.

But then her smugness didn't last long. Because Bi Yuhan's fire then got directed at her!

"And You! How dare you swear to protect someone else? Look at your weak physic. And don't forget that you're just a kid." Bi Yuhan pointed the folded file at Mo Ling and asked with a serious expression.

"So before you do anything crazy in the future, you better inform your guardian which is ME!" He continued his speech and ended while pointing the file at himself.

The people in the living room looked at him in stunned silence.

"Understood?" He narrowed his eyes and asked the kid who's looking at him with wide eyes.
