Chapter 71: Destroying the spiritual energy core (1)

A second later, the ax broke into two pieces, Henry swung his sword 180 degrees vertically.

A second later the individual body was cut in half.

"You shouldn't have messed with me, "Henry declared.

Blood was sent flying towards Henry's face but he quickly moved his face away. He turned his direction to his next target.

The gaze of Henry was like that of a dragon who was looking at his prey. Almost all the remaining soldiers who had decided to fight him regret it.

"Damm it, we won't be able to defeat him even if we work together. I should escape while I have the chance" One of them muttered.

Most of them have similar thoughts. A few seconds later, most of them dropped their weapons and blended in with the crowd of soldiers. They started to rush towards the exit.

Henry spotted all of them and decided to kill them one by one. He quickly appeared in front of his next target.

The target wasn't even trying to fight back, the target tried to dodge his attack and ran as fast as he could.

"LISTEN UP THOSE WHO TRIED TO FIGHT ME, I WILL SURELY KILL YOU IF YOU SOMEHOW ESCAPE.

THEN I WILL SEARCH THE ENTIRE PLANET UNTIL I HAVE FOUND AND KILLED YOU!!" Henry roared as loudly as he could.

He increased his speed and a second later, he reached his target. He swung his sword 180 degrees. A second later the target head was rolling on the ground.

"Done now I will take care of the rest of them"Henry muttered under his breath.

He focused on them, and soon a flawless golden line appeared, connecting everyone.

There are also threads coming out from each of their bodies.

"I think I will have to destroy the thread to kill them, "Henry thought to himself.

He soon charged towards, following the golden trail of dust that he can see in the Ocean of Death.

A few seconds later, he slashed the head of three soldiers, their heads were rolling on the ground.

Blood comes out from his neck like water comes out from a fountain. He took in deep breaths and charged towards the remaining soldiers.

A few seconds later, four more soldiers had died similarly.

"Two more to go," Henry muttered under his breath as he wiped the blood from his forehead.

His clothes were a complete mess now, his clothes are dyed red because of the blood.

The ripping sword is covered in blood, due to which the color of the sword has changed into crimson red.

It looked like a sword belonging to the devil.

All of the soldiers felt that blood turning cold.

"If we didn't give up then we would have ended the same way as him" One of the soldiers.

The others nodded their heads.

Henry focused on the two individuals running for their life, a second later the golden trail started to glow brighter.

"Now let's finish this" He muttered.

A second later, he charged towards them like a flash of light. As he got closer, he exerted even greater pressure on the two individuals.

The individuals felt their blood turning cold than once itself. They felt mortal danger behind them, they didn't even dare to look behind them.

A second later, Henry channeled as much spiritual energy as he could into his sword, he was just a few centimeters away from one of them.

"Rest in peace you two!"He exclaimed loudly in a cold voice.

The voice felt like it belonged to the grim reaper. The two individuals were terrified beyond words.

A second later, Henry swung his sword 180 degrees vertically. The body of an individual was cut in half.

The slash produced countless swords intended in the shape of a crescent moon. Shining brightly and emitting blue color. These crescent moons were charging toward the other target.

"Hey dodge those attacks or else you will die and I don't want anyone who has submitted to me to die"Henry roared.

However, it was far too late when the crescent man sliced through the body of my soldiers, hence killing them.

He just let out a sigh. His target increased his speed by around 500 percent, his muscles had buckled due to the pressure on them but it won't be of any use.

Countless crescent-shaped swords intent on different parts of his body. A few seconds later, he fell to the ground lifelessly.

Only silence remained on the battlefield after his death.

Even though the ordinary soldiers had expected this, they still couldn't accept that the elites of the army had been killed in less than 5 minutes.

A second later, Henry took advantage of the silence and entered the room and started to head towards the room where the spiritual energy absorber is.

"I can't waste any more time here, the reinforcements are going to arrive here very soon if they do appear before I can leave.

A second later, the scenery around Henry slowly started to change, the raging oceans disappeared, replaced by the real world.

"Ocean of Death has been deactivated, it isn't a good thing, I must hurry.

The gate in front of me is where the spiritual energy absorber is. I must destroy the gate first." He added as he channeled as much as spiritual energy he could into his sword.

The ripping sword got covered in a thick layer of spiritual energy and it started to glow brightly. It let out a bright blue glow.

Terrifying pressure bore down on all living beings present. The mortal immediately fell to the ground unconscious.

The early stage basic qi gathering realm cultivators felt a piercing pain in their head due to the pressure but they were able to remain conscious.

He channeled even more spiritual energy into his sword, the sword started to shake violently due to the enormous amount of energy in the sword.

With each slash strong gales of wind infused with sword intent were produced that traveled through the entire realm.

Anyone who makes contact with it was torn to pieces.

The sound was so loud that it caused the ears of mortals to bleed, it didn't affect cultivators though.

"Hey guys, get as far away from this place as possible or else the slash will tear us into pieces"One of the soldiers roared.

After that countless soldiers started to run from the sword slash, their goal was to get away from there.

Soldiers bumped into each other, and when they did they would get into a fight.

However all this isn't Henry's concern, his only goal is to break the door somehow.

I can't break the entire door so I should give up on that and focus on breaking the door enough so that I can squeeze in " He muttered under his breath.

A moment later, he stopped jumping around and hit different parts of the gate.

He started to slash a single spot repeatedly. This much space will just be enough for him to get in.

He continued to slash the part for the next minute or two.

After slashing it for a while, cracks started to appear in the door and a dense amount of spiritual energy rushed outside by seeping into the sword.

"Yes, I am almost within reach of the core. I am just a few steps away from destroying the core."He exclaimed in excitement.
