Grain didn't respond to Hurts taunting, and continued to ascend.
He had to devise some type of plan, with the information he had already gathered.
He noticed the only form of mana that managed to effect Hurts, was Neutral mana.
It was a start.
Hurt was still laughing when Grain made his move, giving the latter a split second advantage.
Once Hurt realized Grain was making a move, he began to manipulate the Spatial mana to send the latter through a tear.
Just as he called upon the Spatial mana a foreign energy interrupted his flow state, causing the General to fail in his attempt.
This energy was Grain's Neutral mana and the last interaction confirmed his theory. As long as he didn't use one of the main six mana types, he would be able to use his skills. Luckily for him, he had recently learned how to convert all base mana into Neutral.
Grain felt relief flow through his body, the years of hard work had actually paid off.
