Chapter 95 : Don't Worry, Baby

*Matthew's POV*

I was sitting in the car, behind the driver's wheel as I held my phone to my ear, waiting for Smith to pick up. We had given up on finding any trace of Trinity through driving the streets, but after I had dropped Arielle off, I realized that I wasn’t able to go inside her parent's house.

Part of it was because I couldn't sit still. I had to be doing something—I had to attempt to do anything rather than sit still. The other part of it was that I felt too guilty to face Trinity's family, or even Michael.

It was my fault that she was missing. I knew it. And the longer she was gone, the more I was sure that it had to do with me and not Trinity.

Everyone else, including my brother, had went inside to work up a plan, and to wait to hear from her. They were still hopeful that this was all a misunderstanding, but something kept telling me that it wasn’t. So, I had sat in the car instead, thinking of what I could do to find her.

To save her.
