Chapter 88 : Cool Mask On
*Trinity's POV*
I was vaguely aware of a body scooting up next to me, and even in my half asleep state, I knew it was Matthew. I rolled over and draped myself over him, wrapping my arms around his chest as I buried my face against him.
His chest vibrated slightly as he chuckled, but his hands just tightly wrapped around me as well. I took in a deep breath, enjoying his scent as it washed over me and relaxed me further.
I felt his lips against the top of my head and smiled into his body.
"I love you so much, Trinity," Matthew whispered into the now dark room.
How long had he been on the phone? How long had I been asleep?
I should be annoyed, but I couldn’t stay mad at the man who saved my heart.
"I love you, too," I whispered back to him after another moment.
His lips found my forehead again. "I'm sorry about tonight. I'll try to be more understanding in the future. Because I don't want to do anything to ever upset you."
