Chapter 68 : Discharged
*Matthew's POV*
There was a pain in my chest as I watched Trinity leave the hospital room. I knew that she would be upset about the accident, but seeing her break down in front of me had been so much worse than I expected.
There was no way that I could tell her that I suspected that tampering and foul play were involved and that my accident may not have been an accident after all…
"Do you need a wheelchair to move to the inpatient room, or can you walk?" one of the nurses asked, drawing my attention away from the empty doorway that Trinity was standing in only moments before.
"I can walk," I answered.
They continued to move around me and unplug me from everything. There would be machines in the impatient rooms as well, so there was no reason to steal them from the emergency room if not necessary.
