Chapter 52 : A Mother's Instincts
*Trinity's POV*
Matthew had kept me up the rest of the morning finding ways to make me forget my nightmare, and now it was already time to get ready for work. Michael had woken up as well, so Matthew was feeding him and getting him ready while I prepared for the day as well.
I decided to first hop into the shower, letting the hot water hit my skin and wash away the remnants of our night together.
Once I finished, I wrapped a towel around myself and wiped the fog off the mirror. When I saw my reflection, I couldn’t help but smile. This was my life—with Matthew, with Michael—and I couldn’t be more grateful. Matthew came to me when I needed him the most and I could now say, I was finally, truly happy once again.
At this point, we were a well-oiled machine in the morning with a perfect routine, and that was a feat within itself with a one year old.
It made it easy that we all went to the same place though.
