Chapter 29 : The Real Matthew
*Trinity's POV*
Breakfast? With Matthew? This was going to be weird… I still wasn't over my embarrassment from our hospital trip together. You know, the one where he had taken care of me.
But how do you say 'no' to your boss?
Matthew handed me one of the menus on the table as I settled back into my seat. The menu was a breakfast specific one, and seemed to be pretty limited. I didn't even recognize most of the words that appeared. Based on my knowledge of fancy cuisine, I was assuming that a lot of the words were either French or Italian. None of the items had prices next to them either, which probably wasn't a good thing.
"Have you ever eaten here before?" Matthew spoke for the first time since he had asked me to stay and eat breakfast with him.
His voice was dry again as he looked at his own menu.
"No," I replied.
"What do you usually like to eat for breakfast?" he asked nonchalantly again.
