Chapter 27 : Apologies
*Trinity's POV*
We continued to walk through the main entrance and into his office. Amber must've been out at lunch as well, because I didn't see her sitting at her desk either.
Damn it. There was no one to save me.
Matthew opened the door to his office and stepped aside to let me through also before shutting it behind us both. Then, he walked over to his desk and took a seat. He gestured for me to take a seat as well, so I did. I clasped my hands in my lap to keep them from shaking.
Or at least, so he didn't see them shaking.
"So, Trinity," Matthew began. I gulped. "What is the status of your dress?"
I let out a sigh from the breath I was holding. He didn't bring me in here to fire me, he brought me in to ask about the event dress. Man, either my hormones or my lack of sleep were really getting my mind to jump to such conclusions now.
