Chapter 15 : Heartbreak Anthem
*Trinity's POV*
Wow. What a long day. It was only the second day of the work week and I was already exhausted. The rest of the shift wasn’t awful since Mr. Withers spent most of his time in the recording studio, but it still felt like so much had happened.
There was so much to process.
I threw my purse and my jacket over the back of the couch and flopped down. I knew that I should get up and cook dinner, but the drive wasn't there. So instead, I laid on the couch debating if I should even bother going upstairs to bed either. However, just as I began to drift off, my phone began to ring.
I sat up and pulled it out of my pocket and saw Christiana’s name once more. A sigh escaped my lips as I accepted my fate. I couldn't avoid her forever, and I knew it was better to just get it over with. She wouldn't stop calling.
"Hello?" I answered the phone before it could go to voicemail.
