Return Of A Ranger Part 1
A young man looked around him and it was pure destruction all around there were countless bodies and in the middle of it, a terrifying creature stood there before it sidestepped a slash.
"Foolish boy." the creature said dodging another slash as a man in red armor swung his sword again hitting the creature in its chest before a blast of energy erupted from the creature's chest sending the man flying into a stone pillar.
"Look around you I won my Armada will be here soon and then we will wipe out the rest of you pesky humans and then." the creature said as it grabbed a sword from its waist and clashed with the man in red
"I won't give up not as long as you live," the man in red says before ducking under the blade of the creature sending a slash toward the creature's head but the creature blocks it with its arms losing it in the process.
"You, damn pest how dare you," says the creature as its eyes shined purple before ripples of dark flames shot out to the man in armor but he can flip over the flames the monster swings his sword at the armored man and ducks under it.
The creature parries the attack as they both go back and forth each trying to best the other before grabbing the arm of the man in red and bringing its knee to his elbow a sickening crack is heard as the man starts to yell out in pain.
The creature laughs before kicking the man in the chest sending the red-armored man sliding in front of the young man.
The red-armored man stands with his arm broken while clutching his rib the armored man looks around before he looks behind him right at the young man.
"I apologize for this kid but I need you to take these and guard them with your life." the armored man says pressing a button on his belt a small bag appears he hands it to the young man before the young man starts to glow red
"Prepare to die," the creature says staring at the man it raises its hand as tendrils of energy form he spits on the man "Anh last words you filthy pest," the monster says as it readys its blast.
"Die," the man says as the monster laughs before it brings its hand down."
Jerome Pov
I shot up gasping I started to look around me and everything was fine no dead bodies were there [What the hell was that] I thought to myself before I could think anymore someone's hand touched my shoulder.
I looked behind me to see my professor with a worried look on his face "Mr. Callaghan are you alright?" he asked "I gotta go," I said picking my bag up and running out of the class.
I ran out the doors of my university and kept running until I stopped at a spot in the forest.
I sat on a rock and tried to remember what I saw but each time I tried it faded more and more until there was only one thing I wanted to know what was in the bag he gave me.
I grab my bag and empty out all of its contents until a small brown bag falls I pick it up before reaching in and grabbing a small device I look in the bag and see four more like it there.
"So that dream was real," I asked myself while inspecting the weird device before I heard the sound of a twig snapping I quickly pocketed the device from the ground and threw everything back in my bag.
I turned to face who was there but was met with a kick to the chest clutching my chest in pain I looked to see a mantis-like bug monster staring down at me.
No one pov
The monster stared down Jerome before raising its bladed arm ready to cleave him in half Jerome threw his hands up in a futile attempt at stopping the monster but as it brought its arms down it was met with a flying kick to the chest.
Jerome quickly stood up when he realized he was saved he looked to see his professor Mr. Davis in a fighting stance ready to fight the monster.
"Mr Callaghan, are you alright?" Mr. Davis asked Jerome as he watched the monster get to its feet "Yeah I'll be fine." Jerome told the man.
Mr. Davis nodded and focused on the monster as it charged at them it went for a slash with its left arm aiming at the head of the professor but he ducked in time as the monster's arm got embedded in the ground.
Both professor and student rush the monster Mr. Davis is able to land a couple of punches before he is hit by the right arm of the monster Jerome ducks the slash from the right arm and hits the monster with a roundhouse into a spinning back-kick.
Jerome helps his professor up before they go back at the monster as it removes its arm from the ground Mr. Davis rushes the monster with a flurry of jab crosses and hooks but all are countered by the monster as it starts to get the upper hand.
Jerome runs at the monster using a nearby tree to propel himself off before a wave of energy bursts off the monster as Jerome and his professor hit the ground rolling on the ground in agony."
"Foolish pest you thought you stood a chance against me the great Mantinoid the planet belongs to the emperor and no one shall stand in my way in claiming it," Mantnoid tells the two as it starts to approach the two.
Jerome looks at his professor to see him lying unconscious he stands up and gets in front of the body of his professor readying himself as Mantinoid charges at the two its blade in the air to strike.
Jerome noticed a red glow emitting from the pocket the device was in he reached into his pocket for it as if it was calling his name he grabbed the device.
The Red glow soon started to cover Jerome As Mantinoid brought its blade down it was sent flying back "SPD Emergency," Jerome's voice is heard calling out as the light surrounding him disappears.
