After A Long Time

Third Person POV: -

It has been Two years since the Pokémon training in the forest, and the mock battle between the tag teams. In the last match both Poocheyena's and Sneasel's attack reach each other and got knocked out, leaving only Larvitar on the field, so making Sneasel and Larvitar the winners.

After the mock battle Laila and all her Pokémon got to rest a couple of hours before returning to the town and resuming her Gym Leader duties. All the training done in the forest made her Pokémon strong enough to defeat any beginner trainer and fight an intermediate trainer to a standstill, so Laila won all the challenges the Pokémon trainers issued and built a reputation in the League in those two years.

Till now only Tim and Kim were the only two trainers who defeated her. So, after the first year of opening her gym Laila posted a note in the official Pokémon League Forum, saying-

"To all the young Pokémon trainers and challengers out there, this is Maiden Peak town's Gym Leader Laila Sable. To any person who defeats me in a gym battle, they can get a discount of 50% or a free item of their choosing in my Pokémon store in any purchase along with the gym badge. So, I will be accepting all challenges.

After reading that message many thought that she was being arrogant, so tens of trainers challenged her. But everyone lost to her, she said she would even accept repeated challenges from everyone, and they can come and challenge her any time. So, from that day on forward Laila got challenged every day. One time due over word Laila's Pokémon almost lost a few challenges. So, Laila posted a new rule—

"Only Six challenges are accepted a week."

By doing this Laila got some free time and her Pokémon got time to rest and recover.

During this course of one year many interesting Pokémon trainers challenged her, some came from a different region, some had Pokémon's that can't be seen in Kanto, some challenged her to a tag team like Tim and Kim, some to a one vs one . To say the least she even met some eccentric people. Like, that one man who use Grass type Pokémon, he was obsessed with attacks which cause status effects like poison, paralysis, sleep, confusion etc. That was one of the toughest battles Laila had from an intermediate Pokémon trainer, and almost lost to him. And also, the most traumatizing matches she had to battle as he kept on yelling 'Perfumeeeeeeeeee~'. She even had a few nightmares on the following days.

Also, after the forest training, few of Laila's young Pokémon were close to their next evolution and just needed a push so that they can evolve. Since Dark type and Dragon Type are Pokémon known for their relatively slow growth periods, they evolve much slower than Pokémon of other types. Grass and Bug type Pokémon are known for their fast growth, mainly Bug types as they evolve very quickly. Ex: - Caterpie and Weedle evolve into their final evolution states in mere few months like 2-3 months not more than that, and Grass type reach their final evolution states in less than 12-14 months. And other type have varying range of time. But Dark and Dragon type have a minimum of 18-24 months to evolve into their next evolution.

So, only her Poochyena and Houndour have evolved into their final evolutions in the middle of their gym battle, during the mid of the second year after the forest training as they have relatively less maturation period than others.

Before starting her own gym, Laila travelled for almost Nine years throughout the world. Laila travelled to many explored and unexplored regions known to man and challenged a variety of people. During these expeditions Laila had to learn many things so that she could be safe from harm in times of need and instead help her in those situations rather than harming her in the wilderness and any Ancient sites. So, Laila learned a multitude of knowledge from both books and different people. Like different types of Pokémon and their habitats, types of Flora and Fauna, how to survive in different environments, Breeding and Grooming of Pokémon so that she can keep her Pok��mon healthy, Emergency First-Aid, Camping, Cooking and Diving etc.

So, after all these wonderful and exiting adventures the number of treasures Laila has collecting is earth shattering. This was one of the reasons Laila had decided to open a Pokémon shop so that she can sell a few excess treasures she had collected in her adventures , such as—low number of uncommon/rare evolution stones native to Kanto, few rare shiny stones and Corals collected in the near by sea , few uncommon minerals and four rare Pokémon eggs she found in Kanto etc. The Pokémon eggs she found were either left alone or not hatched until now, so she did not steal them from anywhere, she kept them in a Pokémon stasis pod. So, that any trainer who wants to take a chance at them can buy them from her.

From this she can earn some extra money so that her grandpa and her can live without worrying too much about their expenditure. As it takes very large amount of money to keep too many Pokémon healthy and have a good diet for every specific one of them.

Laila's shop is stored with many uncommon and rare materials, and their price is also not common as they are rarely found in Kanto.So, she named her store as the –

"Little Treasure Trove"

Laila wrote them in a creepy style so that it can emphasize her Dark type gym better.

In these two years Laila's Gym name resounded throughout the Pokémon community as one of the few gyms that is almost undefeatable and hard to conquer. So, the League had issued for the promotion of her gym from Beginner Rank Gym to Advanced Rank Gym. It had also issued Laila's gym as one of the fastest gyms to be promoted from beginner to advanced gym. She also totally skipped the intermediate rank and directly went to advanced rank. The League issued a Certificate announcing her gyms promotion to that rank. So, now only trainers who have won Six or more badges are allowed to challenge her. Laila can also accept challenges from the lower tier trainer as it was her choice, but it was recommended that only high tier trainers can challenge her.

But even as an Advanced Rank gym and many high rank gym trainers challenging her, Laila remained undefeated. Due to this and her use of Dark type Pokémon decimating the battlefield in the Pokémon Community Laila gained nick name –
