Pokemon: Story of a Master

Hello Readers, I am devil_trainer, writer of this story. This first chapter you can skip if you want as content may be little boring as I will be explaining about the MC and his family along with some details about Pokemon world where MC is living. The world I imagined as Pokemon world is little different from all other fanfics I read here.

Our MC of this story is named Ethan Smith, this story doesn't have reincarnation. Ethan is from a well reputed family from Mulberry City which has Pewter City as nearest town with a gym which is one of the Eight main gyms of Kanto Region. Grandfather of Ethan is Mayor of city and his Grandmother was once famous trainer in the League. Ethan's Father is Gym Leader of the Town's Gym, in Kanto region it has eight main gyms and if a trainer wants to battle against Elite Four and Champion of Region then they will have to prove it by earning recognition from each Gym, which is in terms of Badges provided by these Gyms. Although these eight are main gyms of region, but still each city has a Gym of its own to protect residents from any Pokemon Raids.

Ethan's father specializes in Steel and Rock type Pokemon. Ethan's mother is a doctor but she is also at Level of Advanced Trainers Trainers.

Trainers have categories as follows:

1. Rookie Trainers: All students of Pokemon University and trainers who doesn't have any Gym Badge or Degree from Pokemon University. (*They must have their own Pokemon as well)

2. Intermediate Trainer: Degree Holder of Pokemon University or Trainer who have 1 Official Gym Badge or 3 Non-Official Gym Badge

3. Advanced Trainers: Trainer with 2 Official Gym Badges or 5 Non-Official Gym Badges along with 1 Pokemon at Intermediate Level.

4. Master Trainer: Trainer with 3 Official and 3 Non-Official Gym Badges or 4 Official Gym Badges along with 3 Pokemon at Intermediate Level.

5. Pseudo Elite Trainer: Trainer with 4 Official and 5 Non-Official Gym Badges or 6 Official Gym Badges along with 3 Pokemon at Intermediate Level and 1 at Elite Level.

6. Elite Trainer: Trainer with 7 Official Gym Badges along with 3 Elite Level Pokemon.

7. Pseudo Champion Trainer: Trainer with 8 Official Gym Badges along with 3 Elite Level Pokemon and 1 Pseudo King Pokemon.

8. Champion Trainer: Trainer with 8 Official Badges along with 3 Pseudo King Pokemon.

9. Pokemon Pseudo Master: Trainer who has defeated all Elite four of the region.

10. Pokemon Master: Trainer who has defeated Champion of Region. (Trainer has choice either to take position as Champion or continue their Journey)

I am not explaining about Pokemon ranking here in this chapter because it will be better to tell along with story.

Also I am only considering Poison, Burn or Frozen as status effect, because I don't understand concept of Paralyzing, because how can a Pokemon use Move few times and then couldn't use because its paralyzed, it should be either fully paralyzed or nothing. Instead of that new status Which I think should be here, *Shock* which will reduce movement speed and may stun Pokemon for a while.

Back to MC, Ethan's father's main Pokemon is Scizor and Ethan's Mother has her main Pokemon Drapion. In current world if you want to become a trainer then you have two options, First Join Pokemon University and get a graduation then start Journey after degree. Second buy a Pokemon from black Market or catch (if you are capable) and get yourself registered at nearest Gym (Official/Non-Official) but you should be atleast 15 years old for that.

Current Kanto Region has their own Pokemon University which is on Metallica Island, a big Island between Cinnabar Island and Seafom Islands. Its a famous university all around world and many trainers from other regions also enroll here. It was started by Professor Samuel Oak because, according to him many talented trainers also die in wild because of lack of knowledge about Pokemon and also they start at young age, hence the rule of age limit for individuals.

But to enroll in Pokemon University, minimum age for enrollment is 10 years and you have to pass one poke-test based on knowledge you can get by reading books and also from Pokemon School, which only teach you about Pokemon and Pokemon world. Course is of 4 years in which, first year is only for advanced theoretical Knowledge and fro second year onward you get a Pokemon from University which can be your first Pokemon if you don't have your own prior to admission. Above mentioned age limit can be ignored but up-to 8 years or above kids can only enroll but you should be talented and your talent should be recognized by Pokemon School of your city or area.

Ethan is also one of the rare talents in region which got recognition from Mulberry City Pokemon school, School Principle sent a letter about confirming that Ethan has completed his education of school level, but his request was rejected as Ethan was only 7 years that time.

Due to his great performance at Pokemon School his parents also gifted Ethan a Pokemon egg which hatched into Scyther, as Ethan was going to get admission in University after one year he focused on gaining as much theoretical knowledge as he can gain and also he trained his Scyther with help of his parents in this one year.

This is all Basic info about MC and little info about Pokemon world, I tried to finish this part in simplest way, but still it got lengthy, But story will start from Next Chapter.
