Its over

On the ground below just as they all arrived on the Island they jumped off leaving only the usuals on the ship as they got up to a place that looked like a shrine.1

Immediately standing in the center was a Slowking who looked at them and sighed, "None of you are Ash I presume?"

Discounting the initial shock everyone had, seeing a talking Slowking, Roy was the first to speak, "Umm, no, that's uhh, him up there," Roy said as he pointed in the sky where Ash was flying at them.

Slowking nodded, "I see, very well, it seems that things will end smoothly,"

Melody walked up to the Pokemon, almost inspecting it, "Hey, you are a Pokemon right, how come you can talk and how come you know about Ash and the prophecy?"

"Hmm, well I have been able to speak for as long as I can remember it comes naturally to me, as for everything else, I suppose you could say I am a sort of a caretaker of this place, I tend to the grounds for this moment.

"I see," Liko said while recording this talking Pokemon, "Wait does that mean you know what's going on?"

"Likely the sea is out of balance, ever since the disappearance of the legendary birds, Lugia took their place so that the world would not be destroyed, however that caused Lugia to fall into a slumber, and Lugia needs them."

Slowking looked into the sky where he could see Ash flying towards them, "The Orb of Frozen Souls, The Orb of Fiery Souls, and the Orb of Static Souls. That is their names, and to complete Lugia's reemergence we need all 3."

Just then Slowking's psychic powers flashed in his head, showing him something he couldn't believe, "What!?"

"Hey, what's wrong?"

Slowking looked panicked as he looked up at Ash, "There's a danger!"

"What!" they said in unison

"What kind of danger is Ash going to be ok?" Liko asked, putting her phone down and grabbing Slowking by the shoulders.

"I-" Slowking started but it was too late, from Ice Island a shine glimmered in contrast with the night sky, and fired.

As Ash was flying through the side he had the orbs in his hand, he had to get to the peak of Shamouti Island, and as soon as he put them in that was it, he won.

Although he was still on alert since by this point Lugia should have come out, and yet it hadn't yet, but he also didn't have the luxury to sit around and find out so Charizard kept flying.

He could see near the center point of the islands Moltres and Articuno were in that intense fight with Zapdos and Friede, although Zapdos and Friede were visibly not trying as hard as they could.

Moltres and Articuno were in a berserk state, so their strength was increased but everything else went down and that including speed and strategy, so Zapdos and Friede were just buying time for Ash.

As Ash was flying on Charizard, Pikachu continued staring toward all the Pokemon that were starting to evacuate the area, and Charizard was looking up at the battle.

After a bit, Ash caught sight of the Brave Olivine docked on the island near the side where the mountain meets the water, and he could see that they were starting to climb out waiting for him, this was it as soon as this was over he could-

As Ash was thinking and no one was expecting anything, suddenly a blast shot through the air and hit him, not Charizard or Pikachu, but a bright beam came out of nowhere and pierced Ash through the chest.

The beam was bright so it caught everyone's attention, and when they looked up they saw that Ash got shot, with the beam fully going through him

Ash felt the pain course through him, he coughed as some blood came out of his mouth, indicating that likely one of his lungs got pierced, but considering he was still alive it probably missed his heart.

However Ash's vision became blurry as the strength left his arms, and since Charizard was flying he couldn't stop in time or grab anything as he lost his footing and started falling.

By the time everyone noticed it was too late, the squad on the ground didn't have a way to get him, and the only ones who could were Friede or Zapdos who just noticed, but as they turned to see Moltres and Articuno took advantage.

They sent their attacks the first coming at Friede's Charizard and the second at Zapdos, both got hit by the surprise attack as Zapdos got hurt and Friede fell off as well, only this time his Charizard recovered and quickly diced after him with Cap holding on tight.

Seeing this and after seeing a bright light coming from nowhere they looked over and saw another Charizard, they didn't see anything other than another opponent so they quickly flew towards it as Zapdos tried recovering before following behind them.

Charizard and Pikachu obviously noticed Ash fell off and Charizard was about to dive down to catch Ash suddenly he felt a [Hurricane] shoot around him and Pikachu as a new pressure took hold of them.

As they looked to see Moltres and Articuno approached them and now had them as a new target.

Back on the ground, everyone was shocked to see Ash starting to fall, they all started to panic Slowking especially but for a different reason.

"No, that was our chosen one, how are we supposed to bring Lugia back!" Slowking held his head in stress

"Is that seriously your main concern!" Liko yelled, "Ash got shot, he could be extremely hurt or worse!"

"You think I don't know that!" Slowking yelled back, "But don't you see the bigger picture, without Lugia things are going to get far worse."

"But Ash is our friend!" Roy said, "Why can't you see beyond that legend to see that he is going to die? This is way more important,"

"You humans are all the same hundreds die in wars and you don't bat an eye, but when one person you care about dies suddenly the world is unfair, why can't you see I don't want him to die either because if he does, things will be far worse for us and he'll be the lucky one, he went quick."

They stayed silent not expecting Slowking to respond like that as they hung their heads, Melody walked up, "He's right, we all want the same thing here, to make sure Ash is safe even if it is for different reasons,"

"So is there anything we can do?" Melody tried to Slowking

Slowking rubbed his chin as he looked at Melody, "You, you are the chosen Maiden, you have the ocarina and the song!"

Melody nodded as she took her ocarina out, "Yeah but what does this have to-"

"Start playing! Play like your life depends on it, your song may be able to bring Lugia out so that it can save that boy!"

"W-well that work?"

"I have no idea but do you have a better idea?"

"I guess not," Melody said as she walked to the cliff and started playing her ocarina

In the sky Charizard and Pikachu received another hit from Moltres and Articuno, they weren't trying to fight, they were trying to go after Ash but they weren't giving them the chance.

In the distance, they could see Zapdos and even Friede with his Charizard flying towards them, but that would take a few seconds, seconds they didn't have.

Charizard and Pikachu looked at each other and remembered something Ash did, they shared a knowing look and nodded.

After taking another hit Pikachu ran and grabbed onto Charizard's tail as Charizard began spinning quickly in a circle and then in a tail flip he sent Pikachu shooting down towards Ash, meanwhile Charizard would hopefully follow shortly,

As Pikachu fell through the sky he could see Ash's slumped figure falling through the air, but he noticed he was still breathing and clutching into the orbs, 

As Pikachu caught up and landed on Ash's chest he checked the wound, it wasn't good there was a gaping hole through his chest, so immediately Pikachu started going through Ash's belt and bag looking for Clefairy's Pokeball.

It took a bit longer than he wanted but Pikachu found it and threw Clefairy out grabbing her by the leg so that she wouldn't go flying and pulling her back towards Ash.

Clefairy's playful smile immediately turned to horror as she started trying to heal Ash up, the whole time they didn't stop falling and they were rapidly approaching the water, at this altitude falling the water would be like falling on cement.

Ash looked up in the sky, his vision going blurry, making it harder for him to stay conscious. But even still he was still manually trying to pour Aura through his body.

As he did he could see Charizard trying to fly down but being stopped by the birds who were constantly sending attacks at him.

He could feel his heart still beating, *bum**bum**bum* he took a breath as he mumbled, 'Not yet.'

In the sky Charizard was helpless as he looked down seeing Ash falling, he clenched his teeth and could only close his eyes.

In his mind, his thoughts spiraled around him

'I'm too weak'

'Why can't I be better'

'Why can't I protect anyone'

'Why am I so useless'

'I failed, just like always'

To him, he was still not good enough and this only proved it, this was the only good thing that ever happened to him and he couldn't even protect that,

*Bum*

He didn't want to be weak, he hated it, but the only thing he hated more

*Bum*

Was not being able to protect them, his family, the only good thing that ever happened to him

*Bum*

He is the strong one, he doesn't lose, he wins so everyone else can lose, 

*Bum*

He carries that burden so he isn't unless, he doesn't want to be useless, not now not ever

*Bum*

He wanted to be strong, he didn't want to fail, he wanted to be like…an image of the Black Rayquaza flashed in his head… he wanted to be strong like that.

Charizard felt his heartbeat, it began pumping faster as if in sync, and with Ash his heart was beginning to beat in the same rhythm as Charizard, *Bum**Bum**Bum*

Charizard clenched his teeth as the memory of the Black Rayquaza's attack flashed in his mind, he wanted to be like that, to be strong like that, to feel like that.

Charizard's flames began burning brighter as sparks of blue began shooting off his fire, *Bum**Bum**Bum*

Charizard roared into the sky as the flames started covering his body, and it began to burn, it was so hot that Moltres had to flinch from surprise.

Ash who was watching, saw this and just smiled,

As the flames covered his body they went from orange to blue as Charizard opened his eyes and swiped the fire away, and this time his fire was blue, his wings extended and his scales turned black, he mega evolved, or in this case, it is more accurate to say he performed the Battle Bond.

Charizard roared into the sky as he shot a purple beam into the sky, then after a moment Meteors started falling from the air, he used [Draco Meteor (model Rayquaza)]

Charizard copied the exact attack Rayquaza used, with the multiple Meteors falling as well, all aimed at different spots but none aimed at anyone that Charizard thought was an ally.

Charizard dashed down now that the birds were distracted by the Meteors and by the time they realized Charizard flew away Friede and Zapdos arrived and caught them off guard as they got hit by their attacks then the Meteors

As they were falling over on Ice Island the origin of the shot, Lawrence looked at the sky in shock, especially because a Meteor was coming right at him.

Lawrence was about to do something but then noticed his Mew card on the ground, he picked it up and looked at it before smiling, "It doesn't matter."

And then there was an explosion.

Back with Ash, he could see Charizard flying after him, but it looked like he was barely too slow, but then he heard it, Melody's song on the ocarina.

It was relaxing as the song started playing, but at first, it didn't look like anything was happening, but then he heard another sound, it came from the water and almost mimicked the song Melody was playing.

Ash recognized it, Lugia, Ash turned his head as he saw the water approach he also saw something come out of the water towards him, and he could only laugh.

As soon as he did and a split second before he hit the water a water cyclone shot up catching Ash inside of it and surprising everyone, Charizard had to fly back just a bit but kept his guard up, looking around to find Ash.

But then they saw a figure in the cyclone, as it faded revealing Lugia holding Ash on its back.

Lugia hummed and spoke in everyone's mind, [You have done well, but now I see you must complete it, however, I won't let you go like that.]

Lugia's eyes glowed as the wound on Ash's chest closed rapidly, then Lugia looked down at Charizard, [Take him,]

Charizard glared at Lugia but nodded as he flew and grabbed Ash in his arms along with the 2 small Pokemon and flew to the island.

Lugia looked up to see Moltres and Articuno immediately abandon their current fight and fly towards it, it frowned, [it's just like what happened to me all those years ago]

Charizard flew over to the island as he went back to base form almost unintentionally now Ash was safe. As he landed everyone ran over to Ash to check on him helping him stand.

But Slowking held his hand out, however, "No, he must do this himself, he is so close,"

They hesitated but seeing Ash nod they decided to obey, seeing Ash slightly stumble with heavy breath as he got to the altars, then placed each of the orbs one after the other.

It was complete.
